Excellent! Came back to youtube to review the cracked ceiling repair technique with furring board atop the drywall....some drywall repairmen/women don't do the traditional "V" notch, but it was reassuring to see YOU Do...and use fiberglass mesh tape....that is what I'm going to do to my cracked kitchen ceiling where I accidently stepped down (part-way) in the attic so long ago. Thanks for the confirmation. I subscribed !
Yes we just did a job today doing a v notch for someone's in the attic and fracture the sheetrock any diagonal cracks like this the easiest ways to be not chick you're basically opening a channel that way you can get mud in it when she screw it up you get mud in that v notch channel on tape over it then you know it's good to go
Hi what do you do about pipes and wires in the walls/ ceiling when screwing drywall in. I know using the small screws helps but what if someone put wire or pipe outside the middle of 2x4 you could still hit it.
Hi thanks for the reply. Im talking about when you re secured the drywall to a stud around a crack repair. When people do renovation or add pipes/ wire into an existing wall they can't add nail plates to outside of stud.
Well.there us over 100 videos here on channel many on stress crack repairs, drywall cracks caused by bad structures will always re crack that's structure issues no sheetrock Watch videos are free also contact local drywaller for ur answers

Need bracket it and may bulge out nothing u can do but work around it or remove it
Pipes and wires need to have metal brackets to protect from screws per code on framing
Heres bracket video
