Replacement for previous 'Home Care 6 - Fire Safety' video course, with all-new content, additional sections and fully updated with the latest best-practice guidelines and shot in HD, in new locations, with new actors.
Designed exclusively for those providing care within the domiciliary setting, this title explores fire safety within the homes of the individuals receiving support. In focusing on fire prevention principles and home carer obligations, it introduces the four elements that come together to start a fire (known as the fire tetrahedron) and considers common causes of fire within the domestic setting.
This video helps to improve awareness of the importance of good housekeeping as part of an effective approach towards fire prevention and develops an understanding of how to respond in the event of an emergency.
    Subjects covered include:
Risk Assessment • The Fire Tetrahedron • Heat Sources • Fire Prevention • Smoking • Kitchens • Awareness • Fire Extinguishers • What to Do in an Emergency • Evacuation Equipment • Summary
