What I appreciate about this run is that you get tons of time to spare, almost a full hour of time you can use for extra looting or other mistakes (even though pretty much every strat is foolproof). God-tier run, can't wait to use it to get my infinite RPG! 😄
That's what I was hoping for! As long as you follow an ammo and item pickup route and learn the control strats, you're good to take your time killing enemies and be safe.
My favorite way to memorize the lion medal is. King eats herb'd bird. Lion, king of the jungle. Crown. Fire, to cook. Bird with an olive branch. Anyways. It makes sense to me. XD The lockbox puzzle is my favorite.

For what it's worth, I completely agree with your decision. People misunderstand what censorship actually is (which there are plenty of actual examples such as most recently Maus) and even less so what freedom of speech actually is and what it's utilized for. And given the economic system we live in (see Ada's comment to Leon on how Umbrella built their labs underground), you deserve to benefit from your labor. You gotta live and eat. Hello! I have one usefull note for you. Septer stays in ur inventory since RPD 1 and until RPD 3. But u can just let it stay in a right hand of the statue. It saves for u 1 inventory slot. It not rly matters in this run, but may help in a no box runs in a future. Good luck!
57:49 fun fact: you can easily kill that licker with a knife. Just stand on the safety deposit room doorway and slash away, he WON'T attack you and he dies pretty quickly. It's really fun doing that

Multiple zombies all clawing at bear flesh? Why couldn’t they? Zombies are stronger than living humans (theoretically) because they wouldn’t have the nervous system queues to tell them they’re gonna hurt themselves using too much strength. We don’t lift/push/pull near as much because we can feel when we’re about to cause injury. A zombie wouldn’t 🤷🏻♂️ I think it’s fully feasible multiple could help tear a human in half. And please understand, not throwing shade, just adding my un-asked for two cents
@@thatoneguy1991able you're assuming a zombie is an otherwise normal human biologically, which depending on how long they've been a zombie they wouldn't be. Muscle and general body deterioration happens relatively quickly .
It took me months of trying after starting the game years ago. But I finally did it. Beat the game with S+ Rank in Hardcore just under 2 hours. Could never have done it without you, Carci. Now I just gotta do it three more times, and the last two might just be harder than the first, but I think I can pull it off. I'll be relying on you again for those for sure. Hats off to you.

Hey Carci! Just curious, when you play this game, which soundtrack do you prefer more? The new one that was made for this or the classic RE2 themes? Personally, I really enjoyed the tracks made for the remake. When I had my first playthrough I thought it was a perfect complement to the game. Once the original re2 soundtrack became available though I don't believe I ever switched it back to remake track. That original score is just so fantastic and created such a unique feeling IMO. Especially themes like the RCPD and Save Rooms. So which do you prefer when you play the game? Excellent content as Always! Keep up the great work!

You could have done a great meme at the cost of your production quality, by instead of replacing the scene with one from the japanese version you put cutting to an image of Hulk Hogan going Hulk-a-mania on his t-shirt and writing torso on one side and legs on the other.

depends on the run. i generally only work with one other person to route stuff, that's mattdaroc. otherwise, only time i go looking for info is when I'm speedrunning.
Absolutely love your walkthroughs on this game, it helped me get every achievements and S+ rank in every run (and solve the Annin tofu run lol). The only thing that is missing now is the no way out scenario and all the achievements that come with it. I have been watching walkthroughs about it but I don't see any consistent strategies to complete it safely, and a lot of comments say that it is mostly based on luck (critical shots rate). Would you ever consider making a walkthrough to safely complete this scenario? Thanks for your videos :)

So some of my friends are talking about the RE series, and have convinced me to buy the bundle on steam. Playing these games, I wonder how in the shit you're able to control so well (no doubt it has to do with your thousands of hours grinding these games out). Carsi, you're fucking amazing man.
So I picked this game up when it was released. I played it for about a half hour. I did not like how restricted it was in terms of event triggers and Mr X chasing you down. I played the absolute shit out of the original, but have to remember, that was 23 years ago. So now I've decided I am going to teach myself how to play this game finally. Thanks for the video, Carci. I have RE 7 and never played it either, so thanks for those videos too 😂
If there's one thing the remake did right, it's the gas prices. I got my driver's license on 8/28/98, my 16th birthday. My mom took me out of school early so she could take me to the DMV to get my license. I can remember gas being about $0.99 a gallon, and I remember scraping up all the change from the center console (obviously my parents car) and coming up with about $3.50 and it was enough for me to tool around with my friends for the whole weekend. Edit: Love watching your runs, Carci. I wish I was half as good as you are at these games.

I use controller for most of the games I play on PC. When I first got my PC in 2019 and used controller for Modern Warfare, I swear people thought I was committing heresy. I definitely think keyboard and mouse are okay for some games, especially those that don't really offer controller support. Mostly been a console player, so used to just using controller most of the time. One of the few games I'm aware of in my Steam library that doesn't offer controller support(at least not that I remember) are some of the Oddworld games that I have. Still need to getting around completing those games though too.
As a console player typically I have a special appreciation for this playthrough and as always it was sick. ;) I think you did just as well as the PC ones, although I know mouse + keyboard = greater precision and speed.

1080p at 120% resolution scale, max settings most places. I turned down a few subtle things that are unnoticeable at 1080p

No Way Out is luck, it's a dumb scenario and none of the Ghost Survivors shit gives you another platinum trophy anyway

If there's one thing the remake did right, it's the gas prices. I got my driver's license on 8/28/98, my 16th birthday. My mom took me out of school early so she could take me to the DMV to get my license. I can remember gas being about $0.99 a gallon, and I remember scraping up all the change from the center console (obviously my parents car) and coming up with about $3.50 and it was enough for me to tool around with my friends for the whole weekend.

I use controller for most of the games I play on PC. When I first got my PC in 2019 and used controller for Modern Warfare, I swear people thought I was committing heresy. I definitely think keyboard and mouse are okay for some games, especially those that don't really offer controller support. Mostly been a console player, so used to just using controller most of the time. One of the few games I'm aware of in my Steam library that doesn't offer controller support(at least not that I remember) are some of the Oddworld games that I have. Still need to getting around completing those games though too.

As a console player typically I have a special appreciation for this playthrough and as always it was sick. ;)
I think you did just as well as the PC ones, although I know mouse + keyboard = greater precision and speed.

55:25 Elliot has his legs in the cutscene where he dies. But in the actual gameplay the legs are still off. That's just great. Go censorship.
I edited the cutscene from the censored version in. The rest of the gameplay is uncensored.
