Thank you so much my friend, your comment truly means everything to me ❤️❤️❤️ I put a lot of thought into this guide, especially regarding the clips of the pros, because they can demonstrate it better than I ever could. I’m just here to analyze it. And yes, I’ve been asked to do guides on neutral game and pressuring many times before, so those will be my next big guides, very similar to this one. You shouldve talked about how you can platform cancel into any attack by dashing into it. You can also do any grounded movement after a platform cancel, meaning you can platform cancel into a dashjump fast fall, dash dodge, etc.
Thank you for this video! I've been practicing these movement techniques but haven't quite figured out when to use them, but this video makes it a lot more clear and also points out the bad habits I've developed practicing for the wrong cause. No worries when they move in place like that it’s so they’re ready to move in any direction they need to. Imo standing still doing nothing is better to bait someone to attack you, moving in place is more to make sure you’re prepared for when they attack you
and also being that movement is my best trait this video was amazing great video you touched everything super well the only thing I’d say is that you should touch on fast falling in the air, fast falling directly in their threat range then either jumping or up dodging before they attack so punish or simply attack right on them. Oh wait you said grounded movement guide ._.
Thank you! No that’s fine haha I probably should have touched on it, the only reason I didn’t was bc there’s so many other movement guides on YT that I had to make mine super specific to make it unique. In the end tho, I realized that there are some more things I could’ve covered, but if I started to cover some aerial things, I would have to cover all of them to make it complete. Thank you for this comment Hoziie! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, this is a very common opener and for good reason, it does work very well if your opponent also jumps bc you can either Nair or just grab the weapon depending on the timing
lots of people do this. I tend to fight a LOT that do that. I started to just let the players get their weapons. It also helps me learn what type of fight I'll be in. Because then either you're going to rush me or you're going to hang back. Meaning. you think I'm going to go for weapons therefore you're you're and to gatekeeper. Which I love to fight. I find all the opening because I know you're mind is on defending against me being armed, and I perfected my unarmed fighting far more than weapon fighting. I actually suck at weapon fighting. If you rush, then I know your weakness is most likely me slowing you down.
I needed this to improve my movement and gameplay because I been getting destroyed by toxic players. And I mean alot to the point I quit the game I don’t know how many times. Hopefully I can succeed and beat down any toxic opponent that made me bring my demon out at times.

Only thing I have to say is you just gotta be quick with the change in directions. The attack is less important at first, focus on getting that PIVOT down, and then you can add the attack

Hey man nice video, detailed and precise. But help me out bit, u see I can do all of these in training mode, but in actual game, I feel sluggish, like my fingers feel heavy or smth (feel me?). I can't get these practically. Besides the obvious "keep practicing", tell me smth which with help, like smth particular, if it makes sense. I hope u reply, thanks for the vid as always.
Thank you Aditya! Yeah I totally feel you there. So ofc I don’t know your exact situation, but my advice would be to recognize the situation faster. If my fingers feel slow, or I’m not playing well, I try to focus on slowing down the pace of the game, and recognizing each situation one by one. If you can put all your effort into reacting optimally, then it shouldn’t matter if your fingers feel slow bc you’re quick in the head. It’s like speed vs. efficiency. You can have the quickest fingers in the world but if you can’t efficiently recognize the situation it doesn’t matter. Hope this helps!
Btw I forgot to mention that a lot of this comes down to experience, but you can practice this by going into real games and just focusing on one movement technique. For example, I spent the last 2 or so months practicing platform-cancels every single game. I sucked at first, but now since I only focused on recognizing that situation, and executing it for 2 whole months, platform-cancel tech is second nature to me.
Ok so this guide primarily focuses on situations when you’re already on the ground, so I’m sure you’ll find something useful, but as for the landings thing, I can give you a tip right here: make sure you’re not always landing with an aerial. It gets very predictable when you always try to land with a move on top of your enemy, and they can just out-space it and punish you. Instead try to land farther away from them or on platforms. Also try throwing your weapon down/at them. Hope this helps!
Do you have a video on things with 2v2? I'm having alot of struggles in gold and I'm usually a mid plat in solo, my brother isn't very good but I should be able to manage
I believe HardyMJ was working on a pro 2v2 guide, but no I don’t have one. I know Remmy has a good general 2v2 guide, and Van Thurl has a tips and tricks video
@@vynperm of course, the part about the jump dash fast fall and platform movement has helped me a lot. I catch a lot of my opponents off guard with these movements. So thank you again : D
I play on the ps4 and I really wanna know something. Is it alot more better and rewarding to play with the joystick rather then the dpad? Cause I've been using the dpad ever since I started playing brawlhalla in 2019. So me playing dpad is it going to be harder to do these movements???
Dash/dash-jump then very quickly turn around and attack while you’re still in the dash. Some moves can’t be x-pivoted. Try it with a Jhala axe side sig
Depends on what you prefer. I like joystick bc it’s easier for me to do diagonal inputs, esp when I’m moving really fast, altho some ppl will tell you dpad is better. Just depends on which one you like the most
Lol thanks for the response. I was shocked when I heard your joystick moving cuz I was always told that dpad is better, so I assumed everyone used dpad.
You can either turn around and anti-air to punish, or dash forward to avoid it since they’re going past you. I wouldn’t spot dodge tho bc it’s super easy to wait out and hit you
Try to input the dodge on the same frame as you start to hold back on your movement keys. If you don't input on the same frame, your legend would very clearly turn around before dodging, which is a lot slower
I hope that this was worth the wait, thank you guys for being so patient! And a special thanks to ArtieThePartie for suggesting this video, I spent many hours planning, recording, and editing this with your exact request in mind. I hope it helps!

@@vynperm thanks a lot for the descriptive answer, I'll definitely implement these. keep up the good work mate!
and 2 months on one move? shieet!
This really help alot
I’m glad!
This was made very well 🔥🍇
Thank you! 🍇🍇🍇
I just have predictable movement and I get my landings caught a lot I hope this video helps.
@@vynperm thx
Thanks man helped me alot.
Glad it did, thanks for watching!
@@vynperm thank you so much anyways, I hope good luck in your career and future

@@vynperm of course, the part about the jump dash fast fall and platform movement has helped me a lot. I catch a lot of my opponents off guard with these movements. So thank you again : D

if you dash dance the right way near the ledge your character will bend forward yet their hitbox moves backwards
Interesting tech! Thanks for sharing!
Keep it up
Thanks now I can do dlight nair grounded ayyy
Great guide but i cant read the text that fast during the beginning clips. Had to pause a lot. Like i said rlly good video tho
Do you use D-pad or the joystick? And if you use joystick, do you use improved sticks on or off?
Joystick, improved stocks on
@@vynperm Ok, thanks. Well thought out guide by the way.
I play on the ps4 and I really wanna know something. Is it alot more better and rewarding to play with the joystick rather then the dpad? Cause I've been using the dpad ever since I started playing brawlhalla in 2019. So me playing dpad is it going to be harder to do these movements???
No it doesn’t matter, whatever you’re most comfortable with. Snowy plays D-pad and Darkgoul (and maybe Crockie idk) plays joystick
Ah so you guys are the reason gold is feeling like the new plat 🤣🤣🤣
I swear every experimental gold player is an actual demon rn like I literally can’t win 😭😭😭 Thanks Cloud
Everyone really just wanting to know how to this fr fr 5:10
The x povid was the only part i cant under stand how u do it
Dash/dash-jump then very quickly turn around and attack while you’re still in the dash. Some moves can’t be x-pivoted. Try it with a Jhala axe side sig
@@vynperm nooo not like that when u use ur sigs
@@jurry_2472 That is a sig. If you mean how do I do it with light attacks, try it with a sword Nlight. Those are all moves that can be x-pivoted
@@vynperm ?_? U said dash/dash jump that means i cant do a sig cuz im mid air
@@jurry_2472 Ofc, sigs are just for dashes. Dash-jump x-pivots are for light attacks like blasters Nair
finna start my grind now 😈😈 (cod player)

Much love to you too bro 🤗
Which is better for controller movement, joystick or dpad?
Depends on what you prefer. I like joystick bc it’s easier for me to do diagonal inputs, esp when I’m moving really fast, altho some ppl will tell you dpad is better. Just depends on which one you like the most
Lol thanks for the response. I was shocked when I heard your joystick moving cuz I was always told that dpad is better, so I assumed everyone used dpad.
May I ask about your elo last season?
Sure! Around 1960 peak with like 50 wins or so last season
How do I combo in brawlhalla I’m on Xbox and use mirage and idk what buttons to hit
Watch some spear and scythe weapon guides and those will teach you the combos
Is it better to use d pad or left stick to move n stuff?
Doesn’t matter, whatever you’re comfortable with.
@@vynpermthank you I love how active and fast you are with your comments, just got a sub from me. Have a good day man you deserve it
How can we reduce input lag on console because that’s literally the first thing you need to have movement, low latency
Not much except use a smaller monitor. Unfortunately, console doesn’t have many options
@@arcanisu I’m not sure what to do about that, I don’t play on PC
I’m late but it helped me
Thank you
Glad it did! ❤️
Movement is also much easier on a low latency keyboard...
Damn you 8 year old integrated laptop keyboard

No u ❤️❤️❤️
@@vynperm from now on I will try to comment on every vid of urs because that’s quality content I will support
@@sined2174 You’re too kind 🤧 Ppl like you motivate me to do all this, so thank you!
What’s it called when someone jumps over you and attacks you from behind! what do I do?
You can either turn around and anti-air to punish, or dash forward to avoid it since they’re going past you. I wouldn’t spot dodge tho bc it’s super easy to wait out and hit you
@@vynperm can you please make a mobile guide
@@StarsFc578 Nothing on mobile is different from PC or console, just the inputs. Learning those just take practice
@@vynperm like when your saying combos I don’t know which ones to press
@@StarsFc578 Any beginner guide will teach you the terminology
How do you dash jump dodge back without your character turning around?, in the video he stays facing forward when he does it
Try to input the dodge on the same frame as you start to hold back on your movement keys. If you don't input on the same frame, your legend would very clearly turn around before dodging, which is a lot slower
@@vynperm Thanks!
