I have build videos of the Sig LT 40 trainer and it will be very similar to the Phoenix trainer, it might help you out a little. Keep me posted my friend, look forward to hereing from you again, Terry
Hey Terry.. Marlon here, like always, great video.. Answering a few of your questions: We order from the same hobby stores like your guy, my favorite is tower hobbies..all tools that you have used I do have, love the Ryobi drill myself.. Next topic.. I think I want to use the O.S. GGT10cc engine in mine, what do you think ?
Hey Marlon, thank you, that is cool that you order from Tower, it is my favvorite Hobby Shop as well, glad you have all the good tools. I am also going to put the OS GGT 10 on mine as well later, it is out of stock right now so i am going to put an OS 62V four stroke nitro for now but i am mounting it inverted so when i change it out the GGT 10 should just bolt right up. I watched a vid on your channel of your 2014 fun fly, man you guys have an awesome club and flying field. Hope the video's help you out but if you have any questions just let me know and i will do my best to answer them for you. Here is my email if you would like to contact me there you are more than welcome to, i could send you any close up pic's that you might want or need of anything on the build. it is whitetail7mag@yahoo.com Take care my friend, Terry
Hey Terry.. Looking forward to the next video. The GGT 10CC is in stock at tower now.. I haven't started building as yet, but taking very good notes. I am waiting on some HV servos, Loving fromeco Relion 2600 battery. I have a few that i am going to use in my new planes.. I do have a trip iron an the regular iron, heat gun as well.. Did use your tips an got the wrinkles out of the wing.. Cant wait to see the next video.. This is our Club Facebook page: facebook.com/pcrca?ref=br_rs
+Luvtoflyhelis Thanks ! I at that part now , I actually did the wings last . It took me a bit to figure out how to setup my throttle due to the inverted engine. Today I went and picked up an ignitor relocation kit. So far so good .. The only thing I don't like is the fuel tank setup .. Seems odd how it just sit in place ... Is it me or is there nothing preventing it from sliding backwards ?
On the fuel tank you will have to make a bracket to glue to the bulkhead behind the tank so it doesn't slid back, i think i have that in the video, i just used a piece of 1/4" square stock and glued some small pieces of thin ply to each end to space it just right then glued each end to the bulkhead so that the square stock is putting a little preasure on the back end of the tank so it will hold it in place, hope this helps, letme know if you need anything else and i can email you some pics if that will help, take care my friend
Yeah i have seen better tank setup's for sure but i have also seen a lot worse, i think it will be fine with that bracket in there to hold the tank up-right. Keep me posted on how it goes, hope you get some video of the maiden. Take care my friend, Terry
Dear Terry its Tony here just wondering what Rc transmitter u would recommend for a beginner getting started in model planes. I've been watching ur utube chanel for a while now and I love it u are so talented with this hobbie . That's why I ask for your opinion on this matter.Iam from Australia.
Hey Tony, thank you so much for your kind comments. I have been in the hobby now for 10 years and i've had some great teachers along the way to help me learn so i just try and pass it on, i really enjoy helping people and training new pilots to fly and build. That is awesome you are in Australia, i have a very good you tube friend in Tasmania, his name is Nara, his you tube channel is mrhelidude, super nice guy. Anyway welcome to a great hobby, i will help you out all i can. On the radio, Spectrum is top of the line and you can get the 6 channel pretty reasonable, i think it's DX6 Also one of my favorite radio's is the Tactic 850 from Tower Hobbies but the freight from USA might be pretty high, Hobby King has some pretty cheap but i have never had one so i don't know anything about them but i see people on you tube say they like them. So my first choice for a beginner would be the Tactic 850, it's i think $179 but on sale right now for $159, the 6 channel recievers are only $20 and $25, the 8 channel reciever is $39 My second choice would be the Spectrum, they are top of the line but the recievers are a little higher, hope this this helps, let me know if i can help with anything else, if you need any links to some of this stuff let me know and i can email you them. Take care my friend, hope to here from you soon, Terry
Nice video and very good presentation, excellent. But why is this called a "build" video?? Its more just an assembly video. You do not build ARF's you assemble them.
Great video like always my friend. Look forward to part two.
Thank you buddy, nice to finally get some time to do some building. Take care my friend
Hey Terry! Great job. Good luck with the rest of the build bud. Thanks for sharing and happy flying!
Thanks George, it is nice to finally get some free time to build again. Take care my friend

Nice work Terry , Did you have to use servo extensions or was the stock servo wire length enough ?
Hey Greg, yes i used servo extention on the aileron servos, i make my own so made them 4"
And have plenty of slack with that. Take care my friend

+Luvtoflyhelis Thanks , Yes I saw what you did I just couldn't figure out why the manufacture did it that way ..
I will do it how you did , Thanks
