Main reason the game gets hate: The story is ass, gameplay isn't good enough to ignore it, and it ruins the already established legacy of Arkham Batman. It's about three regular humans and a shark Vs. the most powerful people on the planet. They should've all died instantly. The premise already wasn't good, but it would be fun to see what ways they take in taking down every member of the Justice League. It turned out they just had to shoot them a bunch. Wow. so creative. The writers did a terrible job in making the characters act like how they would actually act. Bruce going back to being Batman is very out of character. He already faked his own death and gave up the mantle after having his identity revealed to the world. He did it so no one would be able to get to him through those he loved. next, Batman would never get mind controlled, as he would never let Superman convince him to go aboard a clearly hostile alien ship for "negotiations." Superman would never be so stupid to completely trust Brainiac in the first place, especially when the entirety of the Justice League tried to tell him it was a trap. they really made them so fucking stupid. the character development for the squad was terrible as well. Deadshot has this beef with Green Lantern because he put him in prison (literally Green Lantern's job) and never ends up thinking maybe Green Lantern wasn't in the wrong for it. They go through the game killing Flash, Green Lantern not giving a flying fuck about their deaths, but then they suddenly care about Wonder Woman dying? Because what? She saved them? Flash saved them multiple times and Boomerang tried pissing on his corpse. A lot of the problems with the story just stem from how the Justice League members deaths were treated. Batman got the worst of it. He was shot in the head while sitting on a bench after being given a speech on how him being a hero did more harm than good by fucking HARLEY QUINN. The same Harley Quinn that followed the Joker in murdering a fuck ton of kids and innocent people. I don't know what's with DC and trying to make Harley seem like some misunderstood girl who was just a victim at the hand of the Joker, but it's disgusting that they had her of all people kill Arkham Batman. The game just takes a huge shit on the established Arkham Verse and people hate Rocksteady for that, understandable. I do too. I wrote a whole essay lmao

If you watched the video, this is not the real league and a lot of the points you bring up I talk about why I believe some do and don't work. Why would deadshot try understand Green lantern, he is a criminal, and he doesn't like the man who stops him from doing his job. He wouldn't try and see out the hero because he's evil now in case you didn't notice, him and the rest of the squad were killing people there's no talking it out like friends, none of these people are friends. It’s like the defenders of this game have blinders on and can’t see anything in front of them. There is really no redeeming quality for this game no matter how you look at it. Nothing is good. Even graphics are a step down from a game they made a decade ago. And I was really rooting for rocksteady. They went the wrong direction in every way for this game and hopefully the failure encourages better quality games for the future

There is one problem with cloning theory and its that there should be endless amount of batmans green lanterns flashes not counting superman as he was shown to be harder to control than others and on that note why when u clone people u give them memories, superman knowing his name, batman knowing squad and superman knowing batman was a great hero but somehow batman doesn't remember how to hack any communications, doesn't remember any contingency plans and how to delete them and why brainiac does nothing at all whole game

Dead shot kinda sees John as a narc or a turncoat and John (pre brainiac) sees Floyd as wasted potential, taking special effort to stop his jobs in Gotham. What do I know? To be honest. I also really liked the Slapstick Comedy Moments. Every time someone seemed to be hurt out of nowhere, shuffled to the side or left/entered the room in an unsuspected way, it got a jiggle out of me. Especially when Wonder Woman was involved^^ other than that, yeah... Not the brightest star on the Gaming Sky.
The game definitely has it's issues but the comedy really is good for the most part. I personally liked the gameplay but I get it's not everyone's cup of tea
@@breezu I watched a 5 hour cut scene edit with some gameplay elements connecting everything. And yes. The Gameplay seemed ok. But honestly. Everything around that game, didn't catch me as that interesting in the first place. I think: "wasted potential" would sum it for me the best. It had its moments. The gameplay loop seemed fun for some parts. And I am not against looter shooters. Even games as a service, can work. But I think, it could have been handled better all around. Especially in the Story department and the handling of certain deaths.
Just another thing if u actually take into consideration that the hall of justice is open to the public with their gadgets secret origins and abilities on full display, its like the league orchestrated their downfall possibly due the arrogance of being "unstoppable".

I’ve watched pyro and moist play the game from beginning to end and for 70 dollars it’s not worth it especially if the story doesn’t even really have an endgame they literally have to tell you “no the bad guy isn’t really dead because you have to fight 12 more versions of enemies you already fought, the game would have been let off easy if they weren’t charging full price 70 dollars for standard and 100 for early release 😂😂😂

The issue with the story is that we’re shown repeatedly that the squad shouldn’t be an issue for the league. Some examples are GL immediately capturing the squad with his constructs, flash being able to rip luthor’s heart out in the blink of an eye, Batman one shoting them with ease and having a gun there to shoot them all, Superman’s laser vision and brainiac literally being able to freeze them whenever he would’ve wanted to
Which is why when they faced the league they were never unprepared and used the fact that they were underestimated to their advantage. They faced the league members only when they had a clear win condition. Flash = Speed force Decoupler. Green lantern = Yellow Lantern batteries. Batman = He’s just a man so… enough bullets would get him eventually along with the modifications hack made to their brains since their first encounter with the bat. Superman = Gold Kryptonite. The whole point of the suicide squad is to win unwinnable situations, it’s literally their gimmick. It’s in their name.
@@whatisthis771 flashed saved them in their first encounters. Even when flash is evil he just toys with them because he doesn’t see them as threats. All goes back to being underestimated.
@@themoonzombie_ They were able to be saved cause Green Lantern decided to land on some building instead just bringing them to the ship like how he said he was going to do. Evil Flash stops seeing as non threats when they got their hands on the speed force device and get tired in his boss fight and he can just grab and throw any object towards their heads at Super speed and they would die. He is also should be willing to run away from them when he was about to die like how he did against Wonder Woman and can call Green Lantern and Batman to their location. Brainiac even in increases the manhunt for them to be captured.

I knew that I was more or less going to come off as a contrarian because I am quite literally going against the public opinion and yea, I was kinda reaching but in all fairness, a lot of people on both sides really are doing a lot of reaching when it comes to the story because it's kinda disjointed a bit and needs more content to the actual story before it actually is a coherent narrative. And yea, wait for a discount, all the DLC will be free but even then, $70 is a lot of money for a game and I wasn't going to buy it for that much, but I had to make the video because of how controversial this game is and see if it really was THAT bad.
A real evil Batman would kill without hesitation... the Squad would've been dead within an hour of entering Metropolis. I mean, he killed how many cops in the blink of an eye?

My only takeaways from this game were the boss fights and how they did Arkham Batman’s death. Don’t get me wrong, I grew up watching the Batman animated series and other media where Kevin Conroy voices Batman but I’m not gonna pull the “oh they killed Kevin Conroy waaah” Warner Brothers had no idea he was going to die and people need to except that Kevin was also okay with the script, I just wish they did it in a different way, more fit for THIS particular version of Batman. And the boss fights are just shitty, no explanation needed lol. The game can be fun in hour long sessions for me though.
It's just my suspension of disbelief that does it for me, if you know about the feats that the league has preformed real of just copies, suicide Squad would never stand anyway near a chance

i think the game would be significantly better if the suicide squad ******* the justice league actually made sense. If you’ve seen batman assault on arkham you’d know he folded the whole squad like a pretzel all by himself without breaking a sweat also the extremely repetitive escort missions make the game almost boring as opposed to the arkham trilogy even origins where every part of those games feel so immersive (this is just my personal opinion)

I find it unironic you put "killed" rocksteady in quotes. Unless that studio receives a massive cash injection, they will be forced to close. This game is not making back the money spent on development. No matter how much you like it, only 2 things can save this once great studio 1. Massive investment or buyout (WB prob won't sell though, so they'll need hundreds of millions loans or cash) 2. This game has an incredible jump (millions of copies) in sales in the next few months Edit: 3rd option to save Rocksteady - hundreds of millions in money from in-game purchases & battle passes/seasons...but that flaccid player count guarantees that ain't happening
I did put kill in quotes, because people are acting like this is going to be the end of Rocksteady, give the game 6 months to a year's worth of updates and a good like 20%-25% discount and I'm sure people will pick it up, a lot of these games do fail at first but it's up to the steady update of content to bring people back in because $70 is a steep asking price. Rocksteady is legally bound to the first year of content so I'm sure if WBD doesn't make them forcefully go under, (who knows that company is god awful) I'm sure they will deliver, but again I'm really just going of thoughts and prayers lol

You point about the clues of the fake JL in terms of Batman using a gun is a bit dumb. Youd only know it's a clue if you knew the leaks as the game hammers home the League are brainwashed so of course they aren't acting in character hence Batman using a gun. Plus showing the Flash casually killing Luthor and not immediately doing the same to the Squad is just irritating plot armour.

The Squad literally stand in front of Superman, Flash, and hell even Batman, who takes his time for some reason killing the Squad when he instantly kills cops and civilians. Same goes for Superman who instead of killing the Squad with heat vision when he sees they have GK decides to leave instead
Batman survives multiple situations where "realistically" he would die, same with the squad, the reason that it doesn't matter is because it's a video game and if Superman instantly killed the squad, just like if say arkham knight decided to shoot batman at ace chemicals, the game wouldn't continue and that is plot armor, but that doesn't make it bad. At the end of the day, you can't just look at something and go "oh that's not realistic" because this is a video game, it isn't trying to be realistic because if it was there would be no game and it wouldn't be fun.
@breezu that's not comparable. Arkham Knight tried to shoot Batman, but Scarecrow stopped him by locking his guns when he aimed for him. The JL wanted to kill the Squad and had multiple openings to do so, which would've taken them literal seconds, but they don't because then the game would be over. Just because it's a video game doesn't mean you can be lazy with plot armour, Batman had actual reasons for suriving, whereas the Squad survived just cus. The whole game makes no sense, and that's what makes the plot frustrating to follow and why it's rightfully getting dumped on (I don't support the personal threats to devs) how can you be invested in the game when the writting can't even be bothered to make you actually fear for your protagonists fighting enemies that should be way above there league when they just leave certain death situations unscathed and joking. Especially when it's the next major part of the Arkham verse that's games have all had stakes and consequences
i’ve said it before, this game got the same treatment as TLOU2 fan favorite character dies in a way people didn’t like: everybody hates the actually good game without even playing it, and sends death threats to people involved in the game.

To be honest. I also really liked the Slapstick Comedy Moments. Every time someone seemed to be hurt out of nowhere, shuffled to the side or left/entered the room in an unsuspected way, it got a jiggle out of me. Especially when Wonder Woman was involved^^ other than that, yeah... Not the brightest star on the Gaming Sky.
The game definitely has it's issues but the comedy really is good for the most part. I personally liked the gameplay but I get it's not everyone's cup of tea

@@breezu I watched a 5 hour cut scene edit with some gameplay elements connecting everything. And yes. The Gameplay seemed ok. But honestly. Everything around that game, didn't catch me as that interesting in the first place. I think: "wasted potential" would sum it for me the best. It had its moments. The gameplay loop seemed fun for some parts. And I am not against looter shooters. Even games as a service, can work. But I think, it could have been handled better all around. Especially in the Story department and the handling of certain deaths.
Just another thing if u actually take into consideration that the hall of justice is open to the public with their gadgets secret origins and abilities on full display, its like the league orchestrated their downfall possibly due the arrogance of being "unstoppable".

This teams whole point is literally to overcome the odds. They are called the suicide squad because they are sent on suicide missions. To see them come up with plans and actually achieve the impossible is what makes the team so great in the first place. That and the fact that they are hilarious together.

I’ve watched pyro and moist play the game from beginning to end and for 70 dollars it’s not worth it especially if the story doesn’t even really have an endgame they literally have to tell you “no the bad guy isn’t really dead because you have to fight 12 more versions of enemies you already fought, the game would have been let off easy if they weren’t charging full price 70 dollars for standard and 100 for early release 😂😂😂

The issue with the story is that we’re shown repeatedly that the squad shouldn’t be an issue for the league. Some examples are GL immediately capturing the squad with his constructs, flash being able to rip luthor’s heart out in the blink of an eye, Batman one shoting them with ease and having a gun there to shoot them all, Superman’s laser vision and brainiac literally being able to freeze them whenever he would’ve wanted to
Which is why when they faced the league they were never unprepared and used the fact that they were underestimated to their advantage. They faced the league members only when they had a clear win condition. Flash = Speed force Decoupler. Green lantern = Yellow Lantern batteries. Batman = He’s just a man so… enough bullets would get him eventually along with the modifications hack made to their brains since their first encounter with the bat. Superman = Gold Kryptonite. The whole point of the suicide squad is to win unwinnable situations, it’s literally their gimmick. It’s in their name.

@@themoonzombie_ They were able to be saved cause Green Lantern decided to land on some building instead just bringing them to the ship like how he said he was going to do. Evil Flash stops seeing as non threats when they got their hands on the speed force device and get tired in his boss fight and he can just grab and throw any object towards their heads at Super speed and they would die. He is also should be willing to run away from them when he was about to die like how he did against Wonder Woman and can call Green Lantern and Batman to their location. Brainiac even in increases the manhunt for them to be captured.

I knew that I was more or less going to come off as a contrarian because I am quite literally going against the public opinion and yea, I was kinda reaching but in all fairness, a lot of people on both sides really are doing a lot of reaching when it comes to the story because it's kinda disjointed a bit and needs more content to the actual story before it actually is a coherent narrative. And yea, wait for a discount, all the DLC will be free but even then, $70 is a lot of money for a game and I wasn't going to buy it for that much, but I had to make the video because of how controversial this game is and see if it really was THAT bad.

My only takeaways from this game were the boss fights and how they did Arkham Batman’s death.
Don’t get me wrong, I grew up watching the Batman animated series and other media where Kevin Conroy voices Batman but I’m not gonna pull the “oh they killed Kevin Conroy waaah” Warner Brothers had no idea he was going to die and people need to except that Kevin was also okay with the script, I just wish they did it in a different way, more fit for THIS particular version of Batman.
And the boss fights are just shitty, no explanation needed lol. The game can be fun in hour long sessions for me though.
It's just my suspension of disbelief that does it for me, if you know about the feats that the league has preformed real of just copies, suicide Squad would never stand anyway near a chance

i think the game would be significantly better if the suicide squad ******* the justice league actually made sense. If you’ve seen batman assault on arkham you’d know he folded the whole squad like a pretzel all by himself without breaking a sweat also the extremely repetitive escort missions make the game almost boring as opposed to the arkham trilogy even origins where every part of those games feel so immersive (this is just my personal opinion)
I get what you mean, but I feel like the game does make sense and Batman does fold the whole squad a few times, yes they eventually kill him but that's because it's a game and it has to happen, Batman doesn't just have plot armor. And yea the Arkham games are more immersive and this game is repetitive there's no getting around that, I think both are good in their own rights.

I find it unironic you put "killed" rocksteady in quotes. Unless that studio receives a massive cash injection, they will be forced to close. This game is not making back the money spent on development. No matter how much you like it, only 2 things can save this once great studio
1. Massive investment or buyout (WB prob won't sell though, so they'll need hundreds of millions loans or cash)
2. This game has an incredible jump (millions of copies) in sales in the next few months
Edit: 3rd option to save Rocksteady - hundreds of millions in money from in-game purchases & battle passes/seasons...but that flaccid player count guarantees that ain't happening
I did put kill in quotes, because people are acting like this is going to be the end of Rocksteady, give the game 6 months to a year's worth of updates and a good like 20%-25% discount and I'm sure people will pick it up, a lot of these games do fail at first but it's up to the steady update of content to bring people back in because $70 is a steep asking price. Rocksteady is legally bound to the first year of content so I'm sure if WBD doesn't make them forcefully go under, (who knows that company is god awful) I'm sure they will deliver, but again I'm really just going of thoughts and prayers lol

You point about the clues of the fake JL in terms of Batman using a gun is a bit dumb. Youd only know it's a clue if you knew the leaks as the game hammers home the League are brainwashed so of course they aren't acting in character hence Batman using a gun. Plus showing the Flash casually killing Luthor and not immediately doing the same to the Squad is just irritating plot armour.

The Squad literally stand in front of Superman, Flash, and hell even Batman, who takes his time for some reason killing the Squad when he instantly kills cops and civilians. Same goes for Superman who instead of killing the Squad with heat vision when he sees they have GK decides to leave instead

Batman survives multiple situations where "realistically" he would die, same with the squad, the reason that it doesn't matter is because it's a video game and if Superman instantly killed the squad, just like if say arkham knight decided to shoot batman at ace chemicals, the game wouldn't continue and that is plot armor, but that doesn't make it bad. At the end of the day, you can't just look at something and go "oh that's not realistic" because this is a video game, it isn't trying to be realistic because if it was there would be no game and it wouldn't be fun.
@breezu that's not comparable. Arkham Knight tried to shoot Batman, but Scarecrow stopped him by locking his guns when he aimed for him. The JL wanted to kill the Squad and had multiple openings to do so, which would've taken them literal seconds, but they don't because then the game would be over. Just because it's a video game doesn't mean you can be lazy with plot armour, Batman had actual reasons for suriving, whereas the Squad survived just cus. The whole game makes no sense, and that's what makes the plot frustrating to follow and why it's rightfully getting dumped on (I don't support the personal threats to devs) how can you be invested in the game when the writting can't even be bothered to make you actually fear for your protagonists fighting enemies that should be way above there league when they just leave certain death situations unscathed and joking. Especially when it's the next major part of the Arkham verse that's games have all had stakes and consequences
