These are on my list of 'end game' speakers (I hate that term lol). That and Dyn evoke 50. You actually did go into a lot of detail despite saying you wouldn't which I think is good. There aren't actually a lot of reviews of these online or on YT so the more content the better! I listened to the 80fs, a sweet non harsh treble that is still resolved.. mid range ever so slightly forward but with very good clarity and honesty to the human voice. Soundstage was absolutely huge. Dynamics were huge also. I thought there was a large mid bass hump but may have been the room or amp contributing. Bass was prodigious I don't recall bass texture as my demo was 30s of one track! The LOOK of them though, I was like 'here we go he's got the boutique speakers out to wow me' the finish is incredible in person. Your money goes so far into the aesthetic, it's turned me into paradigm now.
Thanks for watching. Appreciate your comments. One comment that forgot to add was End Game speakers. These definitely fall into that category. They are truly spectacular. I thought there was reviews in these online because I know a lot of people/places have them and they just sound so incredible how could you not make a video?! You have a good ear. Thanks for the support
@@Audiolympian thanks, I do play an instrument (piano) which I think helps. I'm actually considering making my own channel. I think the journey is important, who wants to have an end game in everything in life right? But I see how the term came about. Are you considering s followup video further down the line after they've broken in and youve gotten to know them more?
@@peterwood2633 awesome glad to hear you have an official musical ear, let’s me know my ears aren’t so bad. Yes I’m going to be doing some follow up vids on all Goldenear Reference speakers and then the Paradigm’s. I love having speakers that keep you experiencing new sounds and feeling over time. Yeah I’ve had some speakers that got boring after about 6 months. So I can’t wait to really get to know these 100h’s
Thank you again for your videos. You give great details on exactly what I find interesting and of importance. Ironically, the TWO floor speakers that I’ve strongly considered for months have been the Golden Ear Triton 2+ and similarly-priced Paradigm 100F. Loved BOTH, but decided to move away from amps-in speakers and the 100F just sounded so awesome. I bought L&R 100, maybe most due to the large, nice mid-range 6.5” which are GREAT. Could not find anything to complain about. QUESTION: did I make a mistake choosing these over the GE 2+ ? Also, I have a smallish “on/wall” Paradigm Studio Esprit center. Would you encourage me to buy that Founder 90C (big center) ? I would ♥️ to see you follow up with a REVIEW of that big-boy Founder 90C. I have heard good things. Last, my feedback to YOU: keep the 100F instead of the 120F. Forget the crazy-expensive price on that…only real difference w/ the 100F is the amp & built-in sub…a good separate subwoofer will work great and save you $1000.+ Thanks again. You have a GREAT site !
Thanks for your kind words Tom I really appreciate it. I’ve thought a lot about possibly getting the 90c I’m sure it sound incredible and it looks fantastic. If you have the budget for that center channel speaker that will pair better than your current one but I’ve had many paradigm products over the years and they never disappoint. I feel the 100f’s are definitely better than the Triton 2+. I would compare them more to the Triton one.r. I’ve been listening to both of those for a few days now and they both are so amazing but still have different character and tone. So I most likely will just stay with the 100f’s and maybe put the extra money towards the 90c and compare that to my Goldenear reference center. Thanks for watching appreciate your support.
I did do that comparison. Just didn’t do a video on it. But yes it has more bass but the overall sound quality is very very similar. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
@@mrman7453 if you’re comparing the premier and the studio 60’s that’s a closer comparison. I think the 60’s would have more bass but the premier might have a little better midrange. First thanks for all your videos. You are probably the only one who has reviewed Goldenears so extensively. One thing in the video you say is that you preferred another subwoofer even for your powered speakers but don’t need one for the paradigm 100f - is that correct? So does it mean that you need a subwoofer for triton reference and one.r but not paradigm 100f? Do these extend more than the tritons?
Hi thanks for running in to my channel. Let me clarify my statement. First, the Triton absolutely do NOT need additional subs. Those speakers are fine solo. I always prefer extra subs to smooth out the bass in the room. As far as the founder 100’s their bottom end is very close to the low end of the one.r’s but still a few steps behind and a good margin behind the T-ref’s but still incredibly deep for a passive speaker. On a measurement scale of 1-10 for bass response I’d put the t-refs at 9.5 one.r at 8.9 and 100f at 8. So even though the paradigms would be fine as a solo speaker I’d still use one for better room acoustics. Sorry if that was a bit confusing. As always thanks for watching
@@nakamichienergy3151 thanks. I have my triton Lfe’s connected in my theater room but not in my listening room. I have used Goldenear subs with my REL and my Svs sub they blend very well.

Definitely. Parasound makes top notch amps that will push even the toughest of speakers. Being that the 100f’s have high efficiency makes that combo all the better. Thanks for watching
I just got the 100f and try just 2 channel without my two subs and they were not where close to that for bass. How are you getting that much bass out of them? They are power with the anthem 325 and 1140. ARC set them at 25hzs without my subs.
Most of that could our rooms. Yours may be bigger than mine. But most of all the JC 1’s are beast, monobloc amps can pack more of a punch than a stereo amp. They are 64lbs at 400 watts each. Perhaps they are more bass driven compared to your anthem which is a magnificent amplifier but I do find stereo amps tend to focus more on a clean, vocal and holographic sound for a more true sound. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
@Audiolympian ya mine is getting 225 watts vs your 400watts so maybe plus I only have 15 hours on the speakers so maybe that's it also. I do have 2 paradigm X15 subs so no shortage of bass just when the subs are off the bass is also. Not shaking anything like they did in your room. Haha
I hope you can answer my question and I really appreciate your knowledge with the video. Do you think the treble lacks in sound? Thanks I just ordered a pair yesterday and it’s on my mind!!!
Depends on what you mean by “lacking” as a comparison to another speaker. I did feel my GE tritons had a little better highs but imo those ribbon tweeters are very hard to beat. Some people like the sharpness of klipsch (not me) so compared to a higher end klipsch they would be sharper. But if you’re just talking about good clarity, with extending vocals and and a holographic sound then yes the Founder is amazing in that sense. The ceramic tweeter is a marvel. Hope that helps and thanks so much for the compliment and for watching.
I'm on the fence between the 80'and 100's. Loved how open the 100s sounded. 100's felt like you were at a large venue, while the 80's felt more like the singer was right in front. Little concerned the 100's will be too large and boomy for my room. I'd hate to get the 80's and wish I'd gotten the 100's all along..lol. Do run my current towers crossed over at 80hz with 2 subs...so bass is not an issue
IMO, go with the 100’s. If your room is good enough for two subs the 100’s will actually smooth out the bottom end more plus you can always dial down the subs if you need to. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
