The battle of Baecula in 208 BC was a battle between the forces of the Roman republic and the Carthaginian Empire, between Scipio Aemilianus and Hasdurbal Barca during the second punic war
The romans won this battle it is considered a turning point before this battle the romans only had defeats and the roman heartland in Italy was under threat after this battle the carthaginian spanish provinces were under threat and very soon the carthaginian African homeland
