My Corrie highlight of the year was finding this podcast! And I’m looking forward to a full year of being a fan in 2025 :)
My character of the year is Lisa, think she’s a great and strong character, I really admire that type of strong female leader character. she reminds me of my first manager in my first proper job when I left sixth form, so that probably helps. Really enjoy every scene she’s in and I honestly think she’s one of the best actors in the show currently.
Wasn’t too thrilled with the Lauren baby or the MND storylines. Really important subject for the MND story but unfortunately I don’t feel a great connection with that group of characters, am glad they introduced Kit through it though, I love to hate him!
What I want to see more in 2025:
    • I know this won’t be a popular one with you guys, but I want to see more of Adam, give him a big story this year. he’s a favourite character of mine but always seems to be misused or sidelined. Not huge on Aliya and him being a couple, would’ve liked to see him and Sarah back together especially with Kate Brooks in charge I think they would work better as a couple with her vision of improved character interactions. The fact that Daniel and Adam are meant to be so close but we rarely see them interact is criminal. They should have a relationship like David and Nick where they’re always involved with eachother’s stories in some way or another. New viewers would be forgiven for thinking they aren’t family lol.
•I don’t want so many love triangles and affairs, just seems so overused in the last few years.
•I’d like to see a few more fights, been a while since we saw a proper scrap in the Rovers between two big characters lol, the Leanne/Toya fight was good but was way too short, seemed like there was more that happened off screen.

have you two ever thought about doing a video on what if you were the producers of Coronation Street. for me I would just be interested about what you would do has producers.

That would be interesting to hear. Even if it was just for a storyline or a character. Always cool to hear what people think should happen, expecially when they know the show as well as these guys.

I can't remember if we ever had that for a Listener Question segment.. Though to be fair, even if we did, it was probably quite a while ago and could do with an update!

What a great surprise, this extra edition of your podcast and what a good subject. I'm really pleased that you did not even really mention Simon -Sigh- Barlow's departure ☺; I never could stand his character. Just read that Charlotte Jordan (Daisy) is leaving; another one bites the dust, that's a shame. Thank you for this entertaining episode on this random Wednesday 👍.

We did have Simon's departure in our notes.. But we were already running over and I guess we just didn't have time to mention him! Ah well! 😅

So, they're competing with other soaps....and people are complaining like crazy. A good story doesn't necessarily have to have million dollar storylines...they just have to be well written and well acted. Common cry? Too much crime, not enough laughter...life can and often is funny....and that's a corrie problem. Corrie has lasted sixty years for a reason. The producers would do well to remember that. Michael is still right about *how and why* people watch. I've turned so many people into it over the years just by talking about the characters. Not because they heard it was GOT,'s competition

Are the budget constraints the reason why Corrie sometimes gets bumped off for football? It annoys me why they don’t just move it over to ITV 2/3/4 as them channels are surely pretty much dead in terms of viewership.
