Garou is the true monster, he actually put fear into the heroes.
He wants to become a monster through his own merits, not through some stupid fruit.
What he really strives for is not being a ,,monster”, but something opposite to heroes, an absolute evil which would unite humanity in struggle for life, so just in his twisted way, he wanted to make world better place. And monster route seemed for him as easiest option, cause all monster has to do is to beat heroes (+some bullying flashbacks from his youth)

It took me months, but I finally "got the joke" with Garou.
He's basically your typical shonen protagonist who always gets bloodied and messed up but manages to win through raw determination...except he's an antagonist instead. :D

Except, antagonists exist to halt the progress of the protagonists. Saitama and Garo never actually interact on that level. Garo in the story is actually the protagonist. He is moving the story along. He would be specifically classified as the active protagonist, a character who continuously progresses to a goal, where as Saitama is the other kind, a reactive protagonist, simply being there and solving problems.

@@dartdevious561 no i meant in the skill trees in heavy armor there is a skill called heavy hands where the damage is based off of your heavy armor gauntlets armor rating
I had a group of mercenaries come to teach me a lesson while I was already in werewolf form, turns out a dead guy put a bounty on my head because I took his fire salts. Skyrim had a few issues

Let me guess, someone stole your sweet roll?" Eventually, I got tired of trying to get my sweet rolls back. They took my sweet roll, and I took their mortal souls and fed them to a Deadric demon.

The only opponent he never get to defeated or destroy or one punched in the whole series is a single mosquito.

You haven’t read the webcomic yet.
That mosquito was just in his mind. It's the futility that he felt and the frustration of not being able to find a worthy foe.
I know "classic" Opm meme and all, but it's gotten old and it's actually wrong. He acidentally but nevertheless swallowed it shortly before he met/encountered Genos for the first time, so does that really count then? Not really.
On the other hand there is a relstively recent Ova with a demon level Worm, which he failed to hit despite aiming for it, which then got eaten by a bird instead so that is definitely a better example.
Also as far as Opm as a whole goes, Saitama still has yet to defeat King and is metaphorically speaking his bitch.
Saitama always saved King's ass whenever he needed saving, regardless if he knew it or not and he also lost all the fame, credit and most of all Money to him, there is nothing quite as aggrevating and defeating as that.
Before you say Saitama is cool with that, yeah you're right, king is also really the only person that managed to break Saitama's composure and iron veil of stunted emotions so take that for what you will.

Exactly, in society’s mind, he is a monster...to Garou however, he is sort of a hero. Getting back at the heroes for not being able to help him in his time of need; in a sense, we all can relate to Garou, becoming a villain to blame those in our life who got in our way. This is a double edged sword, but in all honesty, society is quite s**t.

I hate how no one knows that Garou is a mythological werewolf that gets stronger by feeding off human flesh and MAINLY near death situations, pain, blood, AND emotional past memories! When you add the fact that Garou thinks of himself as a wolf anyway, has that hair, AND used Watchdog Man fighting technique, REALLY sums up that that is what he is! Look it up for yourself, there is even a video game series that links oddly well with the ENTIRE OPM series that is called Garou!

When I see this I think why is it that many of these monsters have more righteous reasons than the heroes
In a sence, John Tumahab is right, garou is the one whos "surpassing his limits" and winning through sheer willpower where as saitama, the supposed protagonist, is the strongest person in the series, and all the other people have to live up to that.
