I've been using washable/reusable bamboo face pads and def recommend! You can get a pack of 14 on amazon for about £15. Comes with a little bag to pop them in the wash when used.
Have you checked for a vitamin deficiency causing your eczema? Sometimes when vitamin b levels are off it can manifest in skin issues like eczema, cracked lips, Rosacea and others. I supplement with a vitamin b & c for stress that I get at Whole Foods here in the US when I get cracks in the corner of my mouth. Many of the b vitamins, beyond b12, are found in animal products, like liver, eggs and dairy so since those products are no longer a part of your diet, you may have to work harder to get all 8 b vitamins through diet alone.
I love the Dr. Dennis Gross pro peel, I’ve worked for the brand before and the cotton it comes with is supposed to work special with it. It’s supposed to lift extra dirt and dead skin while distributing the product 🙂
Hey, I am a beauty therapist and I have trained with many professional brands. When using toners, as well as acid toners, they should be applied with a cotton pad. The pad will help to lift any excess dirt or oil off of the skin. The product will be able to be distributed over the skin a lot more easily as the cotton pad will absorb what the skin does not need. You can find that there are reusable cotton pads that you are able to buy. Hope this helps ! X
Same - my skincare routine is actually worse. I'm scared to touch my face - so I just wash it and slap on some moisturizer - versus the multiple steps I used to do.
Hey Fleur, not sure if you've tried this medication but I suffer from eczema around my mouth as well and the only product that has helped was a prescribed cream from the GP called Clobetasone Butyrate 0.05% ointment. It's really cleared up any flares and I really couldn't recommend it enough if you haven't tried it already!
I use my hands for exfoliating toners and serums and I find that it works really well. Less waste and less irritating to my skin while still doing what I want them to.
I love that your 'Totally Extra' routine is less than my daily one! Different faces, ages etc. It just made me chuckle. I received a sample of the Murad retinol serum and it is absolutely amazing, my face looks a decade younger (except the bags. They're apparently here for the long-haul). Sadly I can't afford to re-buy it but I wanted to second your comment that it works wonders in case anyone was thinking about trying it. Also, I grabbed some washable bamboo/cotton pads from Amazon and I love them - would definitely recommend investing. They wash up easily in my regular wash, and most of them come with a wash bag to make your life easy (or you can throw them in a lingerie wash bag as well)
Elizabeth Morgan just a thought- bamboo pads and microfibres cloths are better washed without softener apparently... Do you use softener? It would be easier if I could just put them in a normal load! Thank you 🙏🏽
@@jillyfish72 Hi Jill, I don't even own fabric softener! Hate the stuff. The ones I have wash up just fine - I can't speak for all brands, obviously. But if you find you need a softener, white vinegar in your wash does the same job 👍
Great video! Sure you don’t want to buy anymore stuff, but Sunday Riley UFO oil is my ride or die for hormonal spots. I use it for a week twice a month at the right time and get no spots most months. If I run out I get loads. My other recc is the ZitSticka (those things with the annoying IG ad) - quite genuinely game changing for odd, bad chin spots.
Hyaluronic acid serum is my holy grail when it comes to skincare! Fixed my skin like nothing else! Now I rarely get a pimple, have less visible fine lines (although I’m pretty young so I don’t have lots of wrinkles just yet), makes my skin super plump and just overall more resilient to the environmental impact, such as cold or hot weather, wind, hyperpigmentation.... I also love vitamin C serums and good collagen induced masks 🙂 I love to support our Slovenian brands because we have very high quality products that are always 100% cruelty free. I enjoy a lot of different brands though, the foreign ones too, of course. I’m currently more into organic products, because nowadays they make some of the best ones out there! Years ago almost everything that was labeled as ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ was kind of harsh on my skin, because they didn’t manage to get the formulations just right. But now everything changed! Natural and organic is now also efficient and feels so nice of the skin. No rashes no nothing! One of those brands that I’m currently speaking about is Mádara Cosmetics from Latvia! Organic skincare, great ingredients, packaging is also environmentally friendly and the quality of a sunscreen I have from them is amazing! Need to try more products from the brand. The founder is a very interesting and kind lady who cares about our planet more than profit, which I always respect and admire. Love watching your skincare videos, Fleur, but could you please film another show and tell kind of video? I miss those! 😘
You were the first person to get me into balm cleansers years ago. I am using the Good Molecules balm cleanser and it's the best I have tried! I would highly recommend it if it's available in the UK. Thanks for making content to keep my mind off of the rest of the world
I had a 6 month eczema lip problem and I tried everything. Finally went to the doctors and they suggested trying a weak fungal steroid cream (I was given a mix of bacteria and fungal in one called daktacort cream) and dabbing it on twice a day and trying to up my vitamin b 12 as I was vegan. I don’t know which one it was but the problem went away almost overnight I couldn’t believe it. Don’t know if you’ve tried that? I wouldn’t normally comment, it’s just that I wish someone told me this when I had it as it was so awful :( love this video, hope you’re keeping safe and well ❤️
Not going to tell you to change your toothpaste! 😅 but... I get eczema on my eyelids ONLY when there is some form of damp mould in the house. We moved into a brand new build, so I thought this would be over, until I discovered a tiny leak from the shower was causing a small patch of mould to build up on the bath mat! Washed it, sealed the shower, eczema gone. May just be worth a look around ☺️ xx
Interesting and good shout on putting the pixi on with your hands. I would never have thought that you could but now thinking about it, why the hell not
I saw this today... I had the dryness around my lips too. I tried 3 things and they were the best: 1) Fresh lip serum followed by 2) naturally serious lip serum and a lip balm 3)Bite beauty agave lip mask for night time.
Hey Fleur, could you please make a video about eyeshadow tutorial? Because it seems like i have the same eye shape like yours. And i still have no idea how to put eyeshadow. Thank you.
Fleur, few quick questions love this video brilliant recommendations, your skin looks AMAZING and your eye make up is gorgeous, what shadow did you use? Thanks for keeping up with the usual content too, maintaining a bit of structure/normality in our lives! Stay safe Fleur :)
Sorry this is a late and random reply, but I had eczema on my top lip for 3 years and it caused so much pain and was so unsightly. I tried everything from changing skincare/makeup products and toothpaste, to getting cortisone and other creams from the doctor, but got nowhere. I suddenly realised that I'm allergic to any jewellery that isn't sterling silver and started to wonder if it was a reaction to drinking from cans. Started pouring my Diet Coke into a glass and the eczema went away instantly! It flares up from time to time (never quite worked out why) but one application of cortisone always fixes that. If you drink anything out of cans, try stopping that and see if it helps!
Hi everyone, does anyone else find that vitamin c creams ‘pill up’ (like roll off into white bits, if that’s makes sense) as you apply them? Just started using The Ordinary’s vitamin c and was wondering if this was normal? Thank you!
Use reusable cotton pads with the exfoliators and toners instead or your hands as otherwise it will eat away at your hands even if you wash it off straight after x
Maybe you should try to change your diet in order to reduce eczema flare up, that can help. Same specific food can cause eczema... and try same probiotics there are the ones especially for skin prone to eczema... hopefully that helps!! Greeting from Croatia!
Love this Fleur! I have been trying to focus on my skin and hair care while working from home. I've already had some coworkers tell me how glowing my skin is thru our web conference videos...so I'm doing something right. Lol! I definitely want to try a few of these out! Hi Fleur, I’ve battled with sensitive and reactive lips due to eczema since I was a child, and have only just got on top of it in my late 30s. I swear by the SkinCeuticals lip potion, and for lip balm I like the Sisley nutritive balm (or for a cheaper option, the LRP one or the Dr Sam bunting one). I’ve used By Terry in the past, and it is lovely, but the fragrance is irritating on sensitive lips. On really bad days (very occasionally) a mild cortisone cream will get it under control again (your dermatologist won’t like me saying that, but there are times when it’s the only way to get it under control - use very sparingly!). I also avoid wearing lipstick (it’s not worth it). Only for special occasions, and when I do wear it I’m selective. I find the Chantecaille lipsticks don’t irritate, and I’m also OK with NARS. It’s really just trial and error. The other big thing is avoiding things like spicy food, which I find really inflame the irritation. (Whitening toothpaste is the other one, but I promise I won’t mention that! 😉). Good luck with it!

Hi Fleur, I love all of your recent videos that focus on things such as sustainable fashion, eco-friendly living and veganism. Something I've personally moved to recently is ethically made skincare that comes in more eco friendly packaging. A lot of the brands you've mentioned in this video are definitely ethical & eco friendly but a few aren't the best options. Any chance you would consider moving towards these types of products or making a video about eco and ethical beauty products? I realise this may not be practical for someone who works in the beauty industry and gets sent a lot of products (its obviously more eco friendly for you to use what you have, rather than go out and buy new stuff).
Great list! For the past year I’ve been trying to give up cotton wool by putting my acid (I use the BR P50) on my fingers and I feel like it works just fine and wastes less product. 💕✨
MK H thanks for saying this. I tried reusable pads and they soak up even more product than the single use so I had not yet found a solution. I can use hands with toner but need for my waterproof eye makeup remover. Still on the hunt for that. Nothing works as well as the Lancôme one and it is quite watery. Be well.
Heather Dean I do use a cotton wool for Bioderma to remove my eye makeup and I can usually get away with using only one for both eyes. I can’t see a way around that. And then I use a new washable cloth for the rest of my face, one side for morning and once side for evening. I keep looking for better solutions, like you do😊
Annoying comment you asked us not to make, but going to make it anyway. I started taking 400mg of vitamin C daily and my peri-oral dermatitis improved. Its a nightmare to control. Loving your vlogs too ❤️
Fleur I absolutely love your videos and have been a subscriber for circa 10 years.. but I still don’t know anything about skincare 🤣 I’ve not watched this yet but please could you do the absolute basics. Like what is a toner?!!! I’ve never toned in my life and my face hasn’t fallen off yet 🤨
Vanessa Moss I’m assuming she didn’t because it’s a waste of product. The only way she’d be able to do that would be if she filmed her doing her skincare routine
Omg u are so lucky to be sent skincare and able to just chuck it in a press. I can just about afford The ordinary products but in case I lose my job I don't want to spend anything . Bloggers just casual mention Sarah Chapman, skin ceuticals and Dmmz Hardie and lots of brands so casually but who can afford them,
I have eczema on my face as well!!!! I haven't figured out yet where it comes from, but I also have it since november 2019 😱😭😅 I find that the avocado mask from Kiehl's works really well against it! I put it on for like 2 or 3 hours in the evening and then after I have removed it gently, I will put on a few drops of their new cannabis-seed oil. Every time I do that, in the morning ALL THE ECZEMA IS JUST GONE I'm not kidding, it works so well!!!!! 😍😍 it does always come back during the day and I am afraid that it will keep coming back until I figure out what I'm reacting to, but I would really recommend those two products! They calm the skin down like crazy and the formula of those two is also really natural and completely biodegradable! (which is not a given in skincare) 🌱🦋
For the eczema, don’t fall into a habit of using steroid creams or over moisturising. You need to care for your gut, id recommend probiotics and drinking kombucha (remedy is my fave). My boyfriend had horrific adult eczema all over his body for years and finally cured it by giving up steroids and looking after his gut xxx
maybe its your retainer/invisalign? might be an ingredient in them thats irritating your lips? i had a friend who had a nickel allergy i think and her retainer was the cause of her dry lips!
Toners are not necessary in a skincare routine tbh. We are conditioned to use them, but for example in the Pixi Vitamin C toner case, it's redundant because vitamin C is so extremely unstable, the packaging of it has made sure it's not gonna do shit for you skin.
Fleur, use this for your lips. I get eczema at both corners of my lips and this helps me get them sorted in a matter of days, and then I’m good for a while without it. Also, leaves my lips super soft! www.boots.com/blistex-relief-cream-5g-10137751 🤍
Hey Fleur! No judgement but would you consider switching to cruelty free products? I have done so recently and discovered some old and new favourites! Would be great to see more influencers get involved in this 💜🐰

Doesn’t micellar water act pretty much like a detergent? In a sense that you’re supposed to wash it off?
yes
It depends ... not all of them you need to wash it off

Loving your vlogs too ❤️
I developed an allergy / sensitivity to lip stick so I stooped wearing and no longer get reaction type symptoms on my lips.
Had eczema all my life - Lanolips Golden Salve is the only thing that has ever helped x
Fleur, what lip color are you wearing in this video?!
If you use a micellar water in the evening, you dont need to use a balm! Just use a water-based cleanser after :)
Have a nice weekend Fleur with your family. Like your vlog so informative. Happy Easter. Joan Bates
Abbie Wilkinson you should watch Caroline Hirons, she’s amazing and has a load of excellent basic knowledge videos in her archive. 💕
Please could you pump and show us the consistency of the product in future skincare videos, thank you.
Really need that....
I think Dr Sam had a fragrance free lip Balm, which might help the lips a bit more, since fragrance can be aggravating an issue
maybe its your retainer/invisalign? might be an ingredient in them thats irritating your lips? i had a friend who had a nickel allergy i think and her retainer was the cause of her dry lips!
Toners are not necessary in a skincare routine tbh. We are conditioned to use them, but for example in the Pixi Vitamin C toner case, it's redundant because vitamin C is so extremely unstable, the packaging of it has made sure it's not gonna do shit for you skin.
ahaha same! I'm putting on a sheet face mask twice a week and using a gua sha every day, who am I 😂
I need that eye serum!! 😍 I uploaded my Everyday Makeup Tutorial yesterday and would love if you could give it a watch 🥰
Why don't you just buy reusable pads...you can get them on amazon x
You look super beautiful here Fleur!
Love your outfit 😍
omg I needed this!
Buy some reusable cotton pads x
Your hair is looking great, are you doing lots of hair masks too? A hair update would be good :)
Does anyone else have allergic reactions to the Garnier micellar water? My eyes puff up from it.
Omg mine too. Have you got another good eyemakeup remover? 🙏
Renáta Ludwig have you tried the body shop camomile micellar water? Gentle and effective!
I love the video! Could you please make a perfume collection video and product empties video? Thank you 😍 @fleurdeforce
Your dress is beautiful .. lovley video
Your skin looks amazing!! Also, never noticed your injectables until this video...💉
you should try some products from LUMENE
Fleur, use this for your lips. I get eczema at both corners of my lips and this helps me get them sorted in a matter of days, and then I’m good for a while without it. Also, leaves my lips super soft! www.boots.com/blistex-relief-cream-5g-10137751 🤍
Hey Fleur! No judgement but would
you consider switching to cruelty free products? I have done so recently and discovered some old and new favourites! Would be great to see more influencers get involved in this 💜🐰
A good portion of the products you use are vegan and cruelty free, Elizabeth Arden , garnier trade in china therefor test on animals.
