I didn't really edit this video, and just noticed that I didn't edit out some 'bloopers' haha. Ooops, sorry about that.
Love it, keep going bud
Just trying to add constructive feedback. Some editing would make this video even better. Much better.
Good video but I agree editing out of some of the film may help. Such as reloading everything in the bin. With that said it was an interesting video and I enjoyed it👍👍
If you are on a schedule he begins talking about the tub at 6:30 👍🏻
And own every color of Crocks! And live in the mountains, own a dog and own a truck
You’re the only RUclipsr I will watch talk about a plastic tub for 30 minutes
LOL Agreed
I couldnt watch past 3mins. Who fucking cares about him and his plastic fucking tub ? For half an hour of my life ? Lol - fucking no chance.
If someone doesnt know how to camp ffs then fuck them too 😂
@@luciousbrun5437
Angry much?
TravellinTed. No, I dont mind being murdered by greedy and selfish excuses for humans. No reason to be angry.
Facts lol
Every time i come here you cost me money.
I just spent 30 minutes watching someone talk about a bin...and it was worth it.
Trying watching Chase Reeves talk about a pencil carry bag for almost 30mins. 😀
Facts
Hey Mike! Great vid! Any chance you could get your hands on the still very new and very hype fn 509 tactical? That optic mounting system looks really neat but none of my trusted gun channels have picked one up yet and despite your channels size you are hella responsive to your viewers!
When you said you dont know what the yellow light was for, I had a flashback to the episode of the show Taxi when Jim was taking a driver test and he kept asking "what does the yellow light mean?!?".
I use three of those boxes to store my military gear in. I usually take one with me to the field during our weekend drills, and it’s been holding up great!
I haven't watched yet but I'll subscribe if this video is truly a 35 min bin on one bin.
Edit: i am now subscribed.
Great concept. Always looking for a more minimalist approach to packing my gear. I will most definitely be employing this in my setup. Thanks and good job.
This is definitely one of my favorites. Can you do this more?!
I came for the bin review. I stayed for the dog treat slow mo.
You should do an updated winter 2018-2019 edc truck loadout!
Seems I just liked the last video asking did we want a full breakdown 😳
Mike is on it!!!
Who needs cable when you get yourself a solid half hour product review 😎
Sweet, I run the same bin with a ton of gear.
Camp right, camp light!
6 mins of contents in 36 mins video.
i finally just ordered one of these. Been wanting one since this vid but my ar pistol build was taking up my budget for a while
Do you got a link to the Olight sale? Wanna support you! And when’s the INVRT review coming?
bit.ly/2JLpk7R thanks man! Not sure, soon hopefully
Tactical Crocs?? Great video, you had me laughing out loud at the Crocs description, and disclaimer. LOL
C fairNH - I got a kick out of his tactical Crocs too! They’re actually perfect for camping. Especially when you have to go in the middle of the night.👍🏻
Love to watch camping gear, that's NEVER been used.
That's weird, but you do you
HAHA OD green crocs! What a nerd! Mine are RealTree camo, so i'm totally less of a dork.
Hoping to see that updated, slimmed down bin that you mentioned in your most recent Tundra video
Don’t even sweat it. I wear Crocs all the time. To the store, to the bars, everywhere.
Don't think I could ever bring myself to wearing crocks. Good on you.
Am an ex Surgical Assistant of 3 decades…. CROCS RULE!!!
Don’t listen to the jerks!
Awesome man! I love the setup. Super efficient way to store things.
I got a dry bag for trash because while boondocking you don’t want animals to get into the trash, and you don’t want the smell (dog poo) in your car. I threw in some lavender drier bags from Trader Joe’s to keep it smelling ok. I hang it from heavy duty magnet hooks on the side of my car.
I have two pairs of Crocs and a pair is kept in my Jeep along with rain gear, fleece pullovers, extra hiking (military) boots, socks, fleece blankets, six one liter Smart waters and a 100% wool blanket. My gear is stored in two three-pocket trunk organizers. My BOB and a duffel bag with all of the necessary tools, a pair of Zero camp chairs, a complete Snugpak hammock kit including under blanket and top quilt are packed out of sight. If a buddy says let's go camping I can drop whatever I'm doing and book. My shelter is one of those Jeep tarps with two poles. All of my emergency car tools, first aid kit, jump start pack, survival shovel and a toiletry kit are stored in the spare tire well. For longer trips I'll throw in a 25 quart cooler and a plastic bin that contains two single burner stoves and cooking kit plus four cans of fuel. Just to offer a suggestion I bought a two piece grill kit in a stuff sack from Amazon; one I use for grilling a steak and the 5X5 fits nicely over the flame to keep your cooking pot (Stanley) from teetering. It comes in handy using it on alcohol and those fold out survival stoves, too. Great video and having a lockable bin is a smart idea!
Pffffff! Crocs are tactical footwear bro! I wear heavy ass work boots all day at work last thing I’m gonna put on is shoes when I get off.
Crocs are so cumpfy getting older means finding an ugly shoe and loving it
Great Vids!! Can you do a video on all of your dog’s gear, bedding, etc..?
Croc Life! NEVER be embarrassed about Crocs. They work, nuff said.
It’s a great tote. I have 3. One cool thing is to add a small strip of weather strip w glue to the inside of the seal to make it air tight and waterproof if one so desires. I’ve done all mine and it’s worked really well!
It’s been a year since you posted this but what kind of seal did you use??
Embrace the CROC life. Love it! Got a like just for that. Go to the store in them. F what others think! Crocs are where its at.
Grate run down !!! You definitely need an explanation video of how you have integrated magnets into everything
My camping set up is not dissimilar except I use two bins instead of one as I'm a middle aged lady living in an apartment with a lot of stairs. But if you don't keep it all packed up it never gets used. Plus good for vehicle bug outs.
Hey Mike just wanta say after watching a video weeks ago you demoed the Benchmade Bushcrafter, I bought one myself.Love it plus bought a matching fire rod also a Benchmade
Good content, but please dont beat a subject to death....(should have edited) .and i Watched this at 1.5 speed...
Feel like you and my fiancé would be besties. For these reasons:
1. Korean
2. Loves gun and tactical gear
3. Drive the same truck
Keep it up Mike he enjoys your videos!!
last line of defense realistically would be the US dollar, without it i doubt you'll survive.
Nice walmart socks. There probably not around anymore
Super informative man! I'm just starting into Overlanding myself, after watching your videos and listening to Fieldcraft Survival Podcasts, and I'm definitely going to be adding something like this to my jeep! I'm gonna probably keep all of this in my vehicle at all times, because my jeep is not only my overland vehicle, but my DD. I guess it's the boy scout in me always wanting to be prepared, and should the arise to venture to my BOL, or I break down (knock on wood hadn't happened) I have gear to help survive.
Mike. It's refreshing that I revisited this vid again after your first post years back. It's been a while since I subscribed and I can't help but think about all the advice you've provided/influenced me on with making choices on good gear, having useful systems and just enjoying life. Watching your video on tubs/organization paved the way I've geared up the last couple years being a hunter/camper/outdoors-man in Georgia. From tubs to covert clothing/accessories to weapon systems to over-landing and to survival systems, I've been here for it all, and have utilized your advice as I'm sure many have. I just want to take a sec to thank you for what you do for us. We are a community of life lovers that guard the value of our liberties and our loved ones. And it's in these times where our resolve is tested in our faith and preparedness to better meet that challenge in which you're a steward of. Love your guidance/content, love your message, love your lifestyle.
Hope you and your fam are well~ God bless!
P.S. Being a Korean American, you know I know that Gas One stove well! How else we gonna cook our spam & rice w/ kimchee when S does the F! LOL
Jeremy from Jersey just subscribed thanks bro
I really loved that first AR you talked about. Where can I buy it?
If I could only open my frozen tailgate with tonneau cover
And I thought the hat was cool. He pulls out a multi fuckin cam AR
Can you come organize my camping stuff.. I'm always amazed at how organized you are!!
19:11 Don't you sigh you're wonderful
Wait where did the guy with the beard go?
Love these type of videos, especially the Tacoma videos! I've watched most of them more than once!
I agree. I always wear shoes or boots. Never flip flops or sandals. Not even in Hawaii. Proper footwear is imperative.
im a big proponent of absolute relaxation. Bare feet = nirvana
You always have some awesome gear and I love the truck setup also bro.
Nothing like going out into the middle of nowhere, to get away from it all, so you can watch your favorite movie on your iPad.
Mmmm, freedom is awesome isn't it
You had me until you said you pack out your steak juices? I am a huge proponent of pack it in pack it out, but steak juice?
I don't recall saying that, but if you are a "huge proponent of pack it in pack it out" then you'd pack the juices out, and used toilet paper.
Hey! I know this video is a year old, but as a new subscriber I’ve been watching your older videos. I love your taste in gear and vehicles, and find myself agreeing with your ideas and general mindset. Especially when it comes to being prepared. I am glad that I stumbled across your channel. I am learning a lot, and my truck and gear wish list keeps growing with every video of yours I watch! 👍🏻
Are there people that are not for wearing shoes?
The only time crocks freak me out is when I see people wear them at the hospital
xterra4hire so funny cuz I agree with you on that. I just don't like them at the hospital lmao
i have a 300blk pistol i made just like that.
I keep a collapsible bowl for my dog. Saves space
Crocs = rubber master baiting shoes
If you want to bring an iPad to watch movies and relax, go for it. But seriously, leave the bluetooth speaker at home. Every time I go camping there's some a-hole blasting their music and annoying everyone around them. If you need music, bring headphones. Enjoyed the video.
What breed is your cool dog? Can you do a video on the best camp meals.
He's Pit / GSD, according to the DNA test - he was a rescue
Way too rambling and wordy....
Bro you rambled on longer about the dog leash than you even talked about the wind screen. Gear video! Just my two cents..
I love mah dog
@@LastLineOfDefense lol im an animal lover I get it love my dog too not to knock you in anyway, just for direction of the video you na mean? Loved the camp utility video btw
I like the smaller stove. I have a Coleman double burner but it would be nice to have something smaller. I take it the wind shield/blocker is for the stove? Thanks for the video!
I've camped with those single butane stoves and they are usually VERY sensitive to wind, so yea - that would be my guess.
I have a Jet Boil Flash and personally it's the perfect size. I felt like the zip was too small. It's the best outdoor gear purchase. Simple, self contained, and reliable !
1st viewer here... I just brought one of these bins, nice setup you have for yours... Mine will be more or less for camping too .. but with added griddle supplies. Still figuring it out though..
Oh yeah! I sub'd!
This dude has a thing for shoes
What does kitted out mean? I've heard other camp vloggers say it. Lol I never been camping, but I spend a lot of time watching camping videos 😅
You ever used a firebox stove. I think you’ll love it bro. Thanks for the vid. I watched the whole video lol I don’t go camping at all. I want to buy a truck like the one you have. For a while I’ve been fixed on that truck. Now, I really want one and get a similar setup and load out as you to do camping and more of it. I think your dope.
get to the point faster.....
random thought. Put some thin leather or something around the magnets on your work light so if you put it on your truck it wont scratch it up... that is if youre even worried about scratches lol
I was like oo a nice new bag. Opened and had a laugh because the special thing I thing I was thinking was like a water pouch or something and there's just a firearm.
I kinda skipped through the video but just word of warning to anyone using these, they get extremely brittle and will shatter with any decent impact in cold weather. I use multiple sizes for my gear as go boxes to throw in and go on short trips. Recently i was up in the hills and one slid off the back of my rig and shattered, it was 36f.
Come here to watch a video on a plastic bin, end up spending the first part showing AR builds.... now I know why I love this channel
Is your watch an OD green G Shock GWM 5610??? I have the regular black and I love it, I've never seen an OD green one.
Hi Mike, what Plano model is that storage bin that you can stand on top of ?
I want to use one in my 8.1L Suburban to but my GHB and SUV Tool stuff in.
I use my Crocs for all the things you mentioned and then some. Its just a good easy shoe to slip on, get stuff, clean, instant dry and reuse. I never wore them before I worked for them now I dont know how I ever lived without them. Very versatile. Let ,e know when you're ready for you next pair I'll send you a free pair!
Always ready for more Crocs, haha
Got my hat today ! Thanks !
Gotta have those tactical Crocs
Jacob Arrowood you laugh, I watched a dude run a 3 gun comp in Crocks lol
Tacticrocs.
You know why crocs have the holes in them? ...To let your pride seep out. ;)
Noooo.....
Down range I have Ugg boots... so comfy and warm... took a lot of shit for them, but they are awesome.
One thing you should mention... that butane stove won't work if its cold out. Those catering butane mixes just wont burn if the temp dips much below 40.
They are super convenient during summer months though, and I love then for that!
Nice 8.5" 300 BO. How's the blowback on it?
Not bad when unsuppressed.
@@LastLineOfDefense Cool, looking at building something similar for our car but with a foldable arm brace. My biggest concern is blowback running unsuppressed, second concern is how loud it will be if I'm in a situation where I have to engage with no ears on, LOL .
That yellow lantern might attract mosquitos for a reason. Next time you go camping take the lantern somewhere away from your campsite so it will attract the mosquitos away from where you are. I dont no if I am right but it was a idea that came too my mind that I wanted you to hear.
Awesome. I think ive watched this video for like the nth time now since we are currently trying to figure out what to do with our box. And organize things. Really appreciate this video a lot. And the rest of the content of your other videos.
ha ha, i like ur videos and cool insouciance ! Nice crocs......werd, weirdos are still triggered by crocs, what horrible shit happened in their upbringing that makes them freak out about harmless shoes
I was reviewing some of your previous "tactical gear" reviews and wanted to know if you have any suggestions for a very compact, high-quality, AR pistol, or even a carbine bag that will hold them in 2-piece upper/lower breakdown mode?
Thumbs up for the spam moosabi comment. That was very in depth but I carry about the same amount of items not just for myself but in case a buddy needs to borrow something.
I would only make one recommendation. All the gear is solid great job. My only worry is the actual bin itself. I would say get yourself on of those Hardigg military cases. If it fall out of your truck at 80 MPH the bin and all the gear will remain intact. You can stand, jump, throw it and you're still good. I have a large one for all my main gear and two smaller ones dedicated for other items. Awesome stuff as always
I love using Crocs at the camp site and have the same OD green pair and the other pair are desert camo. I even wear them in the winter; just add Darn Tough socks for warmth. Your AR's are bad ass. I like the idea of using one tub. Right now I have too many tubs...each containing purpose-intended gear; however, loading them into my SUV is a pain.
First vid I watched and we have a lot of similar if not identical gear! No guns or dogs though. Looking forward to checking out your other vids. Made me think how I can downsize a few boxes and rotate use for different experiences. Looking forward to your other vids. Just subbed.
I would hate to add up total cost of my box lol my wife says I have to many hobbies.
so a light set up that i found is awesome is the nok light with its complementary headlamp by petzl, made in USA. Its a head lamp with high, mid, low, and red light that fits in its holder similar housing to a lantern but smaller that allows you to use it like a lantern. Its re-chargable and triple a. the nok lantern part has an attachment point for carabiner and also has an elastic bungie to use to hang. Also slapped a magnet on it to use it like what you do, and its orange, lol. check it out: www.petzl.com/US/en/Sport/SPECIALIZED-headlamps/NOCTILIGHT
I use mine for camping/hiking and attached to my med bag when not camping.
Since you want to comment this is my two cents. What I really thought out of your video was your mount for your iPad. I can use it for other items to. Recommendation for your dog get a bicycle flasher LED light for the collar and maybe the kitty cat bell hee 🤣🤣hee so you can hear and see at night. I highly recommend to put your email address on the back of the dogs license.I like your micro stove. For a better balancing of items with grill get yourself a muffin fan screen guard probably at fry’s electronics but most definitely at Mousers electronics.🤔 or get one of those aluminum ~ wavy~ Grill screens and smash it and cut to fit.🤔Regarding your puck shape lantern try using a adjustable stainless steel hose clamp and whatever -dental floss, wire, shoe string trying to hang it. What I did is just get a freebie oval LED light from Harbor freight and solder a USB cable to it then use an external rechargeable phone battery. No more (3) AAA batteries anymore😃👍.
This thing is priced very nicely. Just ordered the black color with wheels on it in the biggest size which is 108 qt which is more than big enough for me and what I’ll need. Gonna keep it in the trunk of my 4runner always carrying little things that is just a mess and fly around all over the place. This bin is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thanks for the great idea. This channel is seriously the best for gear and obviously the weekenderlander are my favorite videos.
My 5yo enjoyed watching this video. She especially liked how you bagged everything. I built a drawer/bed system for my 4runner in which we've spent most of the summer. I use one drawer as the galley: food, cookware, etc. The other drawer is freeze dried foods (2weeks worth), tools, and shooting gear (extra eyes and ears, her gong, bench rest, etc).
So is that the ‘gas one’ dual fuel propane/butane stove? On amazon most of the negative reviews state that the metal burner piece has a tendency to melt and deform to the point where it doesn’t work properly. Have you seen any evidence of that?
I've had no issues in my use - potentially only something that affects certain batches of production, I'm not sure.
Psssshhh.....you can run in properly fitted crocs with straps. You can also swim and fish without needing hours of dry time. They have their place, esp in mild climates. FWIW, they make some more stylish slipons and you can look at Teva or Keen for good options too.
