@Aussie_Drongo The arrow at 51:23 does damage to both the wall and the longbowman. It looks like the sprite for the divine arrow gets caught on the wall, the wall takes damage, then the longbowman dies. at 49:52 it also damages the wall and the longbowman, and at 50:32 the hurt longbowman on the left dies as well (you can't really see it but it dies at 1/3 health). It seems that when joan fires at a unit behind a wall with the divine arrow both the wall and the unit gets damaged. It seems like the sprite or the texture for the divine arrow has a damage modifier and when it hits a building while targeted to a unit it also damages that building for the same amount of damage that would be caused to the unit while also damaging the unit. I wonder what kind of funky code makes that happen lol.
Were you being rude? No you were playing your game and having fun haha. The personal little drama and indifferences are what make the game that much more fun!!
imo, a lot of lower ranked players such as myself find it difficult to defend under such heavy pressure early on, which in turn leads to a much more aggressive meta in gold / platinum players in contrast conqueror rank players play more of a boom meta because they know they won't win by rushing. Red probs didn't know you were a conq player and was probably treating you like the typical gold / plat match up that would make a mistake and quit.
I don’t think he was mad at red for playing the game he was mad he had to deal with these back to back setbacks, smack talks allowed lol there’s always mute buttons
Red was not playing the game . He was losing by being dumb. He was over obsessed over just ruin the game for blue . He was not ever going to win after that .
Red was playing the game. Drongo had a slow start and a king by the time red scouted him. That's an easy target and blood in the water. He just fumbled fight because red's gold 1 and drongo is conq
Is anyone else triggered when Drongo literally cues his vils or army to do something important and immediately moves his screen to something stupid like putting a farm down! lol Like at 3:17 tells his vils to shoot yellow and immediately takes his eye off like whats taking up your apm at 3 minutes into the game?
I am 24 minutes in and its hilarious out of the entire map. You have like 5% of it in your little corner after being attacked by Red and then Palace Guard rushed by teal hahahhaha. You really are backed in the corner
As someone who is not playing the game but just enjoy the casts I have a noob question. Wouldn´t an tower with arrow slits behind a section of a wall defend that section from being attacked and torn down by a small numb of enemies. I know a single tower won´t do much against the real army but isn´t it better at deterring then sanding your wills to repair it and idling their work while at same time being shot at, and instead having a tower that shoot at enemy if he commit to attack the wall. Idk if I was clear enough? But anyway, I don´t see people doing it. Wouldn´t it make sense at least in early ages against few enemy annoying you at the far side of the wall?
That's a legitimate defense, but against armored units like those knights and palace guards, outpost arrows don't do much. Plus arrowslits upgrade costs stone (which he didn't have) and only gives you 1 arrow. For an outpost to be effective you need to garrison the outpost with villagers which gives it an extra arrow per villager inside. So those villagers are idle anyways. Lastly, once the wall is down the attacker can go anywhere they want in your base, you have less control over them than when they are just attacking a wall.
My theory (used to be a games tester - I've seen tens of thousands of bugs) is that you targets a legit target with Joan's special arrow then, after the animation starts playing, switch target to the wall section. The game should start a new firing animation with a basic attack, or swap the damage type to basic without resetting the animation, but it might not be coded that way. Another possibility is that you have to activate the special arrow ability during a basic attack on the wall section (either in the first few frames of the animation or once the arrow is in flight, try both). If either theory is correct you should be able to repro pretty easily. I don't have AOE4 though, I only started watching Drongo because of Manor Lords. [Edit] Last possibility is that it is only reproducible in a networked game and you have to be playing as the host or client. In other words it has to do with how it passes the game event sequences to the clients. That's obviously much harder to test and why you need experienced QA on your dev teams.
Why did Drongo built the TC landmark and not the White Tower? The White Tower would have stopped red and red would have been home to defend against teal and teal would never have been able to run through his base.
Drongo: “I genuinely don’t understand why he’s attacking me!”
Game objective: attack your opponent.
well no, your strategy can not be simply to blindly attack every neighbour
The objective is to win . Not attack . Sometimes atacking is the way to lose .
You can win the game without killing anyone .
@@georgfritz3084 it really did not work out fine though

when you use pailings they only stay as long as you stand still, they dissapear as soon as you move. so with pailings do not kite lol.
Drongo at 26:49 "I was crying man" while at the same time I was also crying out of laughter.
To be fair you were a target once you took the king
Garrisons Town center to snipe down scout-
Red I took that personally.
