    Jordans should come with a small bottle of glue cause every pair i ever owned soles came off and the shoes were like brand new ! Imagine being in a basketball game and you jump and your soles fall off !

    He is 💯, Barge is what professionals use, never use epoxy or super glue, they harden, you need a flexible glue or it will crack your shoes after flexing during walking

    If you can’t get barge cement, E6000 will do fine. Just be in an area where you have enough ventilation. I used them on Nike hyper dunks and they still hold up after numerous of times of playing full court basketball outside.

      @@soulonsoles826what kind of tape are you using to protect your shoes?

  • @horacesawyer2487

    Barge is strong stuff. Experimented with RED can Barge on a thin piece of plastic that needed repair. The stuff almost ate through the plastic. Kind of melted it. After 24 hours made it wavy, rippled. But bonded together.
    Probably not a good idea at all to get red Barge on your hands, or breathe the fumes. That's an understatement ! Wonder if it is the Toluene? Does the Infinity version you're doing have the same strong smell? Smells like - well, something that's not good for you.

      I don’t know what the red one smells like but the green one seems to smell like acetone or alcohol. It’s powerful too, but that’s what you need to hold it together for years.

    Awesome, quick and informational. Have you used the Barge Primer ? Is it necessary for sole gluing on most common shoes, boots? I have some leather boots with a Continental german sole that just popped off. They're from the 1980s. Go figure . .
    But I don't see any old glue residue - no tacks, or nails, can't figure out they were held on !!??

    • @soulonsoles826
      @soulonsoles826  7 месяцев назад

      Nah I haven’t used heard of that primer either! I’ve ran across that too, where I can’t figure out how some old shoes were held together! They made those boots with love haha

      @@soulonsoles826 : made my best effort on the gluing wtih Barge. Failed to get a complete closure on the entire soul. Oh well, mistakes of a beginner. I did not beat down the soul with a hammer as instructed. Clamped the ends, taped the middle. Ends held well with C-Clamps. The middle is where some slightly noticeable gaps are. Going to fill those with some silicone or other glue to prevent dirt entry.
