KW Berg Cup "REtro MIX" 2010 - 48th Wolsfeld Speed Hillclimb (BiD) Group H Ianniello, Stolz, Naumann

On the only 1,640 meter short and narrow track in Wolsfeld, which is also peppered with four hairpin bends, it was less about the performance of the vehicle and more about the driving skills of the pilot. The inventory at Wolsfelder Berg already includes the Swiss Bruno Ianniello, whose Lancia Delta S4 is perfect for this mountain sprint. The optimal conditions allowed “Rockets Bruno” to go on a record hunt and victory for the day was also within reach. On no other mountain route in Europe are the best touring car drivers able to outsmart the racing car elite. Ianniello has already achieved this three times in the past. After Norbert Handa (Lancia Delta) and Herbert Stolz (Porsche 935) eliminated themselves with spins during the race, Holger Hovemann was the fastest two-wheel drive touring car driver behind Ianniello. In the KW Mountain Cup, “Mr. Group H” had a remarkable three-way battle with Hansi Eller in the VW Scirocco 16V and his brand colleague Sebastian Schmitt.
