She was miscast into a terrible position. Frankly, nobody really thinks she's a bad actress, although she does come across very wooden and uninteresting. The "writers" are really the ones at fault. Her storyline is borderline trash. She wasn't mentioned or considered in canon at all. She was created as a fill in, and now she's the Mary Sue because she's fixing and helping everybody everywhere. It's just too much and not realistic in storylines. It reeks of Hollywood Hacks.

First saw this lady in the walking dead and thought she is a top actress and hard not to like. So I went watching Star trek cuz she was in it. I was a bug trek fan but it got stale over the years especially with the 3 movie that were made the first one was ok but the other 2 were disappointing. So the route Star trek Discovery is after taking is more realistic and enjoyable to watch and this lady is a top top actress and I wish her all the very best and hope I see her in other role. She is one of my favourite people and she seems so down to earth also. So I'm looking forward to season 3
Sonequa Martin-Green is a great and beautiful actress. Loved her character on "The Walking Dead" but I can not stand her character on Discovery. She it too much a Mary Sue.

Michel Burnham is probably the most hated character in Star Trek ever. Actually, most fans don't consider Star Trek Discovery to be real Star Trek. Martin Green is not a Star Trek person, she should stick to her usual roles whatever they may be.

@MonkeyZorr How do you know that? Discovery is 10 years BEFORE TOS. The Dooms Day machine episode occurred in TOS (years into the future).
