NUCLEAR EXIT SCANDAL: “Deceived the public” - Reckoning with the Greens, Scholz and Habeck
Environment Minister Steffi Lemke, former Finance Minister Christian Lindner and, tomorrow, Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Economics Minister Robert Habeck are the focus of the committee of inquiry into the nuclear phase-out. FDP chairman Frank Schäffler accuses the Greens of having pushed through the nuclear phase-out through deception and manipulation - at the expense of energy security and climate protection.
Schäffler also criticizes the fact that Scholz's public word of power in 2022 was actually a secret deal with Habeck. The Federal Chancellor had deceived the public about the true background and introduced bureaucratic monsters such as the Energy Efficiency Act. The questioning of Scholz and Habeck could clarify whether there was actually a breach of word here.
