It’s been a little while since I’ve watched this channel, and I’m glad I found it again! Something about your editing/cinematography style really makes me feel like I’m right there with you, drying oranges in the oven, or whatever else you’re experimenting with. Sometimes I forget that you don’t have to be an experienced naturalist to forage or to tap trees, your videos remind me that I can just, try something. ❤
oh my gosh, thank you for saying all of this! Firstly, welcome back! Secondly, thank you so much! I put a lot of work into my videos and am always trying to get better while also finding my own style so it means so much to me when someone compliments how I make my videos. 🩷 Thirdly, I am so glad to hear that. Sometimes when I make a mistake I consider cutting it out or not posting and waiting until next year for me to do it "perfectly" but making mistakes is part of the human experience and, as you say, you don't have to be a professional to just experiment and have fun!
I love your videos and appreciate some of the ASMR aspects of it. The time when you are collecting sap and you said you were rewatching it and editing it and it sounded so pretty, it definitely did, that was a Northern Cardinal singing in the background. You probably already knew that, but I like their song.
I'd like to try drinking the sap as it comes from the tree. I'd like to make syrup, too, of course. We don't have birch trees, however. There may be some in the nearby state park but I suspect they'd frown on my tapping the park trees.😄
Straight from the tree taste like water that is a tad bit sweet (at least for maple sap --> I haven't actually tried the birch sap straight from the tree!). I wonder if you could get permission from the park? Otherwise, if you have any maple trees they are fun too!
I love your videos! I aspire to be more like this! Your videos are so calming! Also your really pretty! (Not in a weird way lol)
Ahhhh yippie new video. 🤭💗 Your videos are always so beautiful. KEEP IT UP. UR AMAZING‼️
Thank you so so much! 🩷

I enjoyed watching your process, even if you didn't end up with a lot of the birch syrup. I love the bird sounds!
Thank you!
