Am I the only one who thought his paranoid maniac character was good? I thought it showed an interesting side to the character. Although I did feel the cowardly heel stuff made little sense as previously he would fear no one. If they kept his badass persona whilst being a villain would have been scary and cool.
He not the wwe wanted the heel turn he wanted the crowd to hate him! He himself wanted a change thought his character was getting stale...so the whole scared cowardly act was to make people believe him as a this low level pos heel an help get the focus off him an more onto the rock an undertaker..he talked bout it on his podcast...regrets it all now...I mean when you're that far on top you're gonna make bad decisions...an when you're that big of a draw ain't noone gonna oppose you so they just kinda let him.
@@ryanearl9506 idk why Austin regrets it…his heel turn was great television. He worked great programs with Kurt and Taker and having The Rock come back after months of being out and take down Austin and the Alliance was again…great shit😂. And not to forget during this heel turn Vince gave one of the greatest promos ever in wrestling when he wanted Austin to go back to his old self to defeat the Alliance
Nah it was awesome. He was a damn lunatic. He became obsessed with keeping the wwf title. It made sense because story wise, he was out with the injury in 2000 while the Rock was on the rise. This could’ve sparked the paranoia and turned him into a complete psycho. It all made sense if you really delve into everything.
The first 5 seconds of this remind me of Marlon Brando's reveal in Apocalypse Now, absolutely phenomenal work, really portrays Austin as a deranged madman which is exactly how he was around this time.
Very well done. I really like how you used a lot of clips that they used in the actual Alliance titantron video. I'd kind of like to see this video done with the same gold color overlay that it used as well.
I can kinda see Austin still portrayed as a heel, but maybe as a “free agent”. We need a web comic retelling of the invasion angle of what WWF vs. WCW should’ve been, and have the real WCW superstars included like Sting, Goldberg, Flair, nWo etc.
His heel run was extremely underrated. I hated it in the beginning. I couldn't believe he shook hands with Vince. 13 year old me was heart broken. But then I got to see the ruthlessness and no mercy he had. It was great. Then we got the Two Man Power Trip. That was so damn good. Even though it didn't last long. That is still my favorite tag team ever.
Never would've happened. Pretty sure he was still sore about how Bischoff fired him over the phone in '95 while he was recovering from an injured tricep.
Stone Cold Steve Austin are aware what I'm and my children going through, and I must say Roman Reigns, this sick world delaying my and my children's rights on purpose because they still try to break me. They hope by delaying it on purpose that I will became just as ugly as he is and the community. But I will never lower myself to their level. Even Stone Cold messaged me once during the lockdown of the COVID-19 and Steve Austin just said that I musn't allow others to bring me down and make that changing me ALSO in a ugly human like the others are.
I honestly feel like the heel angle could have worked if we just didn't have Stone Cold be a coward heel by the end of his run. After Wrestlemania 17, it can be explained that Stone Cold only teamed up with Vince to win the belt. However, because he teamed up with Vince, Vince forces him to work directly under him as a heel. Sorta as his personal enforcer. And if Stone Cold doesn't comply, the WWF champion belt would immediately be stripped from him. Austin by this point in time would still hate Vince's guts. But in order to not lose his title, would instead choose to shut his mouth and work under Vince as an unwilling heel. This could create moments where Austin and Vince although being on the same side, would directly clash with each other. Vince tells Austin to do something, but Austin at first says "no, cause that ain't right". That is until Vince threatens Austin with removing his belt, which causes Austin to fold and do whatever Vince told him to do. Eventually however, Austin cracks. After being threatened with having his belt taken away so many times, and doing every single morally depraved thing Vince tells him to do; Austin just snaps and goes full on psycho against Vince. He attacks him, causing Vince to take away his title. This is where we start to see a desperate and insane Austin who's main focus is to get the title back. Way more desperate then he was back to buildup to WW17. Eventually he gets it back, and goes on his own "reign of terror" where he just destroys anyone who tries to get the belt away from him again
I dont know if you saw my other comment to your request. We may upload a whole new titantron for that theme. We will see how much footage we can find from 96 and if it is worth doing. If not, then we will reupload our 1999 titantron with that theme 👍
Steve, I know how you feel about hurting me... It's okay, you have to live your life Steve, I have to live my life and this is where it ends...why aren't you happy , I am happy and what I wish you Steve
A feud between Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Sting would've been awesome to have seen in The Invasion(2001) but it never happened cuz of the Time Warner contracts that paid the top WCW stars a lot of money to sit their Asse's at home while the Invasion occured
No matter how hard they tried to get Steve to be more and more of a bad guy, fans wouldnt stop cheering him, he was too over and loved before he turned heel, people didnt want to boo him, they loved him too much to start booing him
Had they pushed the heel run further they could have just made him progressively more and more alcoholic to the point that he became completely remorseless and lacking of any morality.
