not true, the uncaged were designed for runners. There is still an internal cage that keeps your foot in place when running. However its design is for a neutral runner, not a someone that has a supination or underpronation.

I feel like they ruined the new ones by removing the collar padding, and it's the main thing that I don't like on the uncaged version as well. That house booty type look that the collar gave, as well as the comfort, is what made the Ultraboost so popular in the first place. There's lots of other knit sneakers with boost that aren't nearly as popular.
Caged is way more comfortable imo.. uncaged fit so tight , the sock like feeling, while the caged sits more loose and comfy especially since you can vary the tightness with the lacing
