Bomb squad detonates suspicious package in downtown Providence

A bomb squad on Tuesday detonated a suspicious package that was found in downtown Providence.
The Licht Judicial Complex was evacuated as a precaution. It has since reopened.
The Rhode Island Judiciary said the package was found at the corner of Benefit and College streets, outside the courthouse.
Multiple agencies, including Providence police, state police, and the Rhode Island Division of Sheriffs, responded.
Police did not immediately say what was in the package.
There were no reports of injuries.
