Yes and you could make it work with less than 2000 rent. Yes im older subscriber 63 in fact and all that money you spend on rent for 2 bedroom apartment you could probably rent house and buy a car for less than that a month out of the city. To me city life isnt for children anymore.

My husband and I picked up and moved 2 states over and our kids were not thrilled. We always ask them how they feel about it and their opinions and validate those feelings. However ultimately we make the decisions we feel were best for our family in that time and help them through it if it feels hard. It’s been 3 years since we moved and they love it so much here now. My opinion on your life doesn’t matter because it’s your life, but they’re kids, and while they’re feelings are valid, sometimes we just have to do what we feel is best for them. And that’s for you and your partner to decide.

  • @janetbarrera8506

Kids shouldn't be given options. Kids have to follow what you tell them to do. You are supposed to know what's best for them. I am a mom of 4. I have a teenager daughter She was starting to act up a lot in doing things that she wanted to do.
And she was ending up getting In trouble. But I had to fix that because If you give them what they want you are letting them to do what they please. So if you want to have a stressful life, then that's on you. gotta keep these kids in check always no matter what

My take away after watching the house tour is everyone can breathe easier. Space allows for more freedom of movement and more privacy for everyone when needed. I grew up in a big city too (Philly). I left when my children were small because of them. It was easier to raise them in a quiet town just outside of a big city. Raleigh is the biggest city (Their capital) and they have quite a few suburban towns close to that big city. It is only an hour away from the area you were in or less based on the area you would move to. There are some that are less than half hour outside the big city with great school ratings and diverse/multicultural communities. My experience living in a multicultural community where I can access big city life in 20 minutes has been the best of both worlds.

Please please please stop criticizing Makayla for being herself. She's a kid. She'll mature. She also is absorbing the negative words yall say to her. Don't dim her light.
Hear the older ones out. Step mom words were harsh on the one who wants to go to specialized high school program.
We think because WE made it through the crap our parents put us through, that our kids will be fine because kids "are resilient." Yeah until they break. Makayla running away was a wake up call and warning to you mom. Every kid needs different things from parents.

My suggestion to the daughter is let her teachers know she wants to be tested for a gifted program and or honors while in her current grade. NC schools will work with you. My nephew and niece teachers really came through for them.

To their house ON BASE while their 1st baby was there, and taking down the family photos and getting his groove on with this toad looking thing that had the same name as my sister (and knew he was married with a kid) while my sister was at her day army job!!! On God I could have unalived a person... you have NO idea...but I believe in Jesus🙏.. anyway...he got a baby from it. Both of them got dishonorably discharged for adultery (he was a marine they had been to Afghanistan for a year and shit) when she told my sister and tried to take him (he told her he hates her and wishes she would have got rid of "it" which pissed my sis off even more.. ughhhh🤮) meanwhile my sister has a new whole ass husband now who is amazing (and a new baby) and her ex is now a meth addict in TX dating almost-minors at the age of 34, with two new babies with the same young ass crackhead who both sadly gone to DCF cuz they neglected them.... So there ya have it. Fort Bragg can be a place of disgusting happenings. (Just our experience. 😂😂😅😅😭😭)

The houses on base is not just for single people. Those big houses are for families. Look up fort Bragg barracks so you can see how the younger soldiers live. Y’all missed the skate park on post. I use to work at the hospital.

As an adult it's HARD af to take tht leap & venture out into the "unknown". We can all agree on tht, right?? So let's give the kids (the 2 oldest) consideration & understanding abt their feelings, thoughts & their own plans as far as their very much near future (life after high school) obviously as minors they don't have the final say of where the family lives. However, it's healthy & beneficial to let them know its ok & a safe space to communicate & their feelings be heard & acknowledged. Relocating is way easier whn kids are super young. But whn kids are older (teens) they have their own lil lives, social circles, identity, plans, etc. I commend & applaud Jas for having tht open conversation w the kids and being HONEST while still being respectful, sensitive & loving. It's NOT easy. Us subscribers all have opinions, of course. I am aware of the reality tht we all have rights to make our own decisions. Thts just wht it is. My lil ole RESPECTFUL opinion is to not expose or get the kids hopes up for something tht either won't happen or happen any time in the near future. Spare thm the anxiety, stress or disappointment of things/plans tht aren't solid or for sure for sure. Them being disappointed or feeling as if plans aren't going thru based on ur own relationship w a partner tht isn't their parent will lead thm to having resentment & rebellious behaviors. Once these teenagers feel like ur not in control or making logical decisions in ur own life... they'll follow the same behaviors as well. And look at U as a hypocrite & not take Ur leadership seriously at all. Other thn tht BLESSINGS to ya'll & I hope everything U desire for ur family comes to life ❤🙏🏾💪🏾

While you’re there or when you go back take them to look at the kid things like schools so they can get a feel for the programs/opportunities offered, kid activities/hangouts or stuff they can do outside the house. You see how they were before going to look at the house and the during shit even the after. Do some research and show them you hearing their concerns make the next trip about that for them 💛
