I got mine in 1994. It's beat to hell, but still works great and as loud as ever for how small it is. This amp perfectly got the "And Your Bird Can Sing" tone with just an SM 58 in front of it.
a number two is a bit large ... if you have something with a bit sharper angle but also smaller diameter . the holes are 5mm so ... i used a 4.5 mm diameter phillips with a nice handle as they are TORQUED in there on mine at leats . i got mine i used at a resale for 2.99 it didnt work as the output wire broke off the pcb - pretty easy fix . its a neato lil amp . i want to try running it into a class d amp board , like line out thru the headphones jack into a tpa3116d2 board into a 12 . or run a spst toggle across the resistor which pds out the headphone jack to convert the headphone port to a "speaker out" thats another nifty mod for this one i will more than likely do soon. look for a video on my channel for that tomorrow...
@@enigmalex3649 I found another video yesterday of a guy taking a few micro amps apart, and he measured the MS2 speaker at 3”. I was testing a 2” speaker with a Ruby amp circuit, and I couldn’t get nearly the same frequency range as the Marshall, but no wonder if the speaker is a 50% larger than advertised. 😬
@@enigmalex3649 mine used to work but i think it's the Input, I took it apart and the the input kind of moves around but when I plug my guitar in I have to like fine the g spot for it to sort of work.
Also also try to use 9V adapter and it doesn't work and amp broke within a week of use because my guitar cable was heavier than the amp and it fell of my desk and broke lol.
Yep,motherboard is also broken where the 1/4" jack is. It fell from my desk because guitar cable was heavier than the amp 🎸🎶 The best use for this amp is decoration on the desk 😂.

Mine lasted only for a week lol. It felt from my desk and it didn't work anymore. I think that Queens of the Stone Age used this little amp.
love how you use a scissors to remove the input jack nut - mad teardown skillz dawg !
This has a pretty decent preamp I wish I could make a pedal with it
Gracias amigo! Me ayudó mucho!
why break it bro?
What type of size of screwdriver are you using to take off the back part of the amp?

petey twofinger thanks!
Specs everywhere says 2” inch speaker but that looks more like 3”. Did you by any chance measure it?
I didn't measure it but on Marshall's website it says it's 2" speaker

the Board was broken under the audio Jack?
Yes,it felt from my desk because my guitar cable is heavier than the amp itself lol.
@@enigmalex3649 Chinese, lol!
Yeah, this amp is only good for decoration on your shelf or desk lol
@@enigmalex3649 Are u serious ? To my opinion, it is pretty good for its price and size
@@Baltic_frost marshall is a company from England... And this product itself was made in Vietnam... What Chinese ?
Great man
My amp can't work, just making a buzz noise. How can I fix it? I'm using a battery
Mine felt from the desk and also had a buzzing noise and it didn't work again. Try to open it and check the connectors.
change the battery, it literally drinks the power so i suggest you to use mainsup. I ended 2 duracell 9V batteries in a month

9v 500 ma can use it?
My MS4 is not working with 9 V adapter. It's only works with battery
Any suggestions on how to make it work on adaptor power instead of batteries

horrible choice of background music
I can't guess everybody's taste. Now I will probablly choose music that is more relaxing and calmer :)
