Go to the library and rent the movie “Fried Green Tomatoes”!!!!! It has been one of my favorite movies since I was a teen, then I read the book in my early 20s. I even named a cat after one of the characters!

We have a lot of unusual town names in NY because we stole a lot of them from the Native Americans (along with their land 🙃) for example - I am in Canandaigua NY which comes from the Seneca name Kanandarque/Ganandogan. So there's your fun? fact of the day (also as someone with a master's in writing I LOVE the shirt)

My family all lives in whitefish!! I live in LAUREL Montana tho. Montana has the craziest city names for sure.
Fun fact. Whitefish is the only town in Montana that has tourist sales tax. The rest of the state does not have sales tax.
Whitefish MT is only 30 mins from me. It's always exciting to hear of a town in the beautiful Big Sky treasure state!

To the girl who asked for help when struggling with depression: I’ve worked in mental health for 10 years and went through bouts of depression too here’s a few hopefully helpful tips. Therapy can help process emotions, stressors, life events. Medications help manage symptoms and together they can help. Find coping skills you can use in any setting (ex: doing art isn’t always appropriate in some settings or not always available. Same with listening to music) try to find a variety of coping skills. Pay attention to your thoughts and emotions, notice when they arise, this can help identify when feeling depressed and don’t push any feelings down. Remember it’s ok to feel however you feel: happy, sad, angry, hurt. It’s ok to not be ok. Have a good support system, people in your life you can go to if you need help and remember reaching out for help isn’t weak or a burden to anyone. Think if someone you cared for came to you for help you wouldn’t think they’re being a burden, so don’t think you’re bothering anyone. Most importantly know it won’t always be like this. You might feel like you’re in a dark hole and each time you try to crawl out you just bury yourself deeper. Progress isn’t instant it’s linear, it takes time but you can get there!
