One awesome sight: every year when the Hall of Fame game is aired, when they're doing an aerial view of the stadium they always show that part of I-77 in the background...

LMAO @ "This guy"...that was so clever of you. Glad you weren't in his sights. That's one of the most interesting endings I've ever watched for a road video. Absolutely enjoyed the photos you provided; it may be many years until I finally get to check out the HOF for myself, so this was pretty much the next best thing.

Thanks! You know me, I just had to put that in! But glad you liked the end. The HOF is one of those things you have to do at least once if you're a fan.

Another enjoyable ride, the way you present your factoids always do a good job telling the story of the area. Should have told the cop at the 5 min mark "Smile for camera officer" (I had a similar experience in one of my videos in Rock Hill, SC). NFL HOF at end was a nice bonus.

Thanks Scott! The cops were crawling around there all weekend, but it was the July 4 weekend, so understandable. But I wasn't going to try anything on a holiday, let alone driving a huge van. Glad you liked the HOF stuff.

Ohio-8 Freeway now extends all the way to I-271 complete with same-direction ramps (8 North to 271 North and 271 South to 8 South)

Nice ride! Love the Hall of Fame- been there a few times and I need to get my ass back down there to see the upgrades! Know the roads well!- I've spent many an hour on those roads and I can't wait to see your vid on the Y-Bridge! My mom and dad live in an apartment complex UNDER the Y-Bridge! I think I posted pics of the area...
Great ride, great tune and as always- ride safe my friend! Love your vids- and loving seeing roads I know like the back of my hand! Especially Rt. 8 until it ends and the Arlington Rd exit on 77- GREAT ride!!

Thanks! The HOF was nice. A bit expensive, but it's not like I'll be back there anytime soon. But Y-Bridge is coming next week.

It is expensive- I know that which is why I don't go as often as I would like! Enjoying your vids of my neck of the woods! Safe ride my friend!

just to let you guys know the central interchange in Akron is being reconstructed as we speak so the next time you drive through town it should be quicker and safer. the stack in the middle of town is not so ugly anymore if you go 77 north now towards Cleveland they closed and re-aligned the off-ramps at main street to get into the downtown quicker can't wait to go home this summer and try the new freeway the whole route from Akron to Canton should be done by the end of 2019 and should be a fun drive

I might consider a mini-tour if I ever decide to visit Charlotte, NC again. Great ride on I-77.

Thanks for watching! Hopefully when I get back south I hope I can take a long detour to take I-77 south.

Ohio State Troopers are always out in full force on holiday weekends. Back on Labor Day weekend 2006 I drove out to Pittsburgh and I have to say I saw about 18 Ohio state trooper patrol cars along the Ohio turnpike fron Indiana to Pennslyvania.

I expected that much on July 4. The rest of the time I filmed and drove around they were nonexistent except for around Cuyahoga Falls.

Awesome video! Your comment about "that guy" was _hilarious_. It was worth it to stay the extra few minutes. Are you gonna do a tour of Cooperstown, New York next? (Just kidding.) Seriously, when someone has to say "I digress" after a freeway video annotation, you know it's a good video! Thanks for sharing!

Glad you liked it. I probably would do the same treatment if I hit Cooperstown. Don't see it anytime soon. I'm not of a baseball fan.

I heard this song on a Hampton Roads VA freeway vedio done by freeway Jim.

And a San Antonio, TX video by FreewayJim... and a Little Rock, AR video by FreewayTitan... _I Love Music_ is a freeway video classic.

Liked the video. Only criticism, and it’s an important one, is there’s no such place as “The NFL Hall of Fame” in Canton , Ohio or anywhere else that I’m aware of. What’s located in Canton is “The Pro Football Hall of Fame”. Yes, the HOF covers the history of the NFL, but also the All American Football Conference, The AFL, the USFL, etc. I haven’t been in many years, so maybe the XFL is represented by now. FYI: the first NFL Champions were the AKRON PROs!

You are correct! Seeing this video years later I saw the sign clear as day.

How did you possibly make it from Stow to Canton in July and didn't have to do the orange barrel tango? Was that a OHP cop or a local cop?

If one lived in Akron, Ohio, and one wanted to take one's talents to South Beach, I presume this would be the beginning leg of one's journey?

and the next time you go to the HOF the new stadium should be done and phase 2 or 3 should be started or be done as well as the hotel next to it

Two questions: 1. How does a bum like Tebow rate space in the NFL Hall of Fame, and 2. where do those street signs on your videos come from?

    • @TheSolarcatcher
      @TheSolarcatcher  10 лет назад

      1) Tebow got into the HOF with that first-play TD in the playoffs vs. the Steelers in 2012 I believe. I was surprised to see the jersey there as well. 2. All street signs are created by me. I get route signs, speed limits, etc. from Wikipedia, but the finalized signs are all me. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the info on the street signs.
