I think you need a small “dingo” or “kanga” type stand on mini loader with a grapple bucket to pick up and cart your rocks to the jaw crusher. And the jaw crusher needs a hopper to tip the bucket load of rocks into, which will feed your jaw crusher while your off collecting your rocks. With the trailer still connected to your vehicle, the jaw crusher & hopper feeder can be moved a couple feet at a time to spread the rock as you crush it.
Take a front bucket full of rock and the crusher to the remaining puddles and first fill the puddles with rock, then later you can cover the road's entire width.
Hi, got a tip for you! when you finish put roller back in and make sand to put on top of what you done. Went it rain it will sink into the rock and turn into cement. OK
Hi from the UK again - im sitting watching this at 2-20am GMT and im with the first commenter about you guys finally getting a rock crusher - hallelujah 😂
Great system for maintaining the driveway. For the low spots that turn into a mud bog you can build up the center of the drive way and dig out water retention swales on the left or right of the bog to keep the center of drive way less muddy.
Well, being it’s a boulder life, the investment will eventually pay off with the modifications and hopefully make it more convenient. Cool seeing you guys channel your inner Andrew Camarata!
So happy you found a use for all of the rocks on your property! That rock crusher is amazing. I see a secondary business in the making selling gravel blessings to the hottest working family on RUclips. Looking forward to all the progress you’re going to make in 2024. Blessings.❤
It might be small but its how u use it right 😉😉, looking good, can be done between bigger projects aswell, cover the worst bits for now, cant wait for more, and mums are great at finding things, good job Natalie ❤
As soon as I saw the title of the video, I ran outside and screamed to the heavens "Jacob finally bought one!", because if I had screamed it inside the house, I would have scared all the cats and irritated my wife.
Also, I suggest that you take a little bit of scrap wood and cobble together a taller fence to create a feed chute to pile up more rock. Nuthin fancy, just functional.
Nice! That machine is excellent; it will be one of the projects that can be done gradually. What is nice is you also get smaller pieces and crusher fine mixed with the larger ones. Most people don't know that you need everything to have a road base; you can compact and hold everything together. There's more to the science of road building, but you have a place to start. I retired from a construction corp. It is what we do on a daily basis, along with all other aspects of roads, bridges, asphalt, etc.
very cool, and of course the supper is there to help move rocks and make sure it is working properly, MOM skills are a special thing!!!...always great to see you guys working together..great to see the family!
Crushing rock for gravel.... great idea! I have about a half mile of dirt road on my property to deal with. Not too much trouble with mud though since it's not flat. However, the dirt road heading over to the paved road can be pretty muddy after the snow melts. Speaking of which I did two one and a quarter mile runs with the tractor to clear snow today!
I really don't know much about that machine but I think if I were you I would have all that chain and grease it up real good but I'm glad y'all got it and I just love watching y'all I'm from Georgia. As always be safe and God bless you and your family.❤
Put the crusher trailer on the back end of the bigger trailer and strap down. Then you can just put bucket under the chute. When things dry out and you get some time, you can take to your pile and stockpile gravel for when you need it. Can't believe how much gravel that can produce in a couple of hours running. Amazing little machine.
Waiting for things to dry in Concho to get a driveway in and then get my CONEX delivered. The straight part of my driveway is about 1500'. The gravel company strongly suggested road base vs the prettier maroon or black cinders. The caleche they mix in firms up. My neighbor used road base and loves it.
Thank you for sharing your videos with us. I now know why you don’t have a fitness center near you. Love the kids helping out. Growing up I spent as much time as possible with my Grandpacand Dad while working on stuff, learning. Beautiful family. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🫡
Making good use of all of that rock! The more you use the rock crusher you will find out what works best for your setup. Great addition to your tool inventory.
Paint the bolts a fluorescent orange or yellow colour incase they come out again easier to find by eye then maybe Dad can find it next time.🏴🏴🏴
Deanna and I are ready to take the plunge on the jaw crusher. If you know of a used crusher that is available - let us know! Love this video and all the others you two have put out!
It's just a matter of finding one on Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, or offer up. Make sure you search a very wide area because chances of one being close by are slim. Thanks and good luck 🙂
OH HAPPY DAY!! My biggest wish for you has been to have a rock crusher!! I didn't know they came that small either. I've only ever seen Andrew Camarata's massive one in his videos. What a game changer. You'll get it all worked with the height and all. And Natalie the Conqueror!! Didn't take her long to get confident and go after it. And then here she comes on the backhoe with a load of rock!! Got my total respect 😁👍. I knew little Eli was gonna get into it. That boy was born looking for a project. Well done guys!! Take care!! 🥰 ♥️
You guys are so resourceful, you always amaze me, it is more work for you but you are saving hundreds.😊 I always wondered what you were going to do with all those piles! Love you guys
Could you dig a hole/pond/swimming pool and use it to hold water, AND use the soil to raise the road an inch or two so that winter rain/snow runs off the wheel tracked part into a side gutter.
Love the video and your tenacity for getting the work done on the road. If that bolt keeps workng its way out, maybe some locktite will keep it in place for an extended period of time. Great job.
Heh heh, wondered when this is going to happen. I foresee in future a bigger one for the mother rocks .... and little one doing what it is doing now .... I smell some money making with all that rock (gold) laying around ....
Good morning how you folks doing today hope everything is fine looks like you're doing a good job on getting closer to the building in the house yet but all right see you guys later
No end to the variety of jobs that need to be addressed on a spread, e;h? Who'd a thunk it that you'd end up having to do road repairs on top of your building projects? I mean, it's reality---you have to have a way to traverse w/o going axle deep in mud and losing a day's worth of work just digging out. Thanks for bringing us along visually.
Great idea. For I was wondering what you were going to do with your "tower of Bable" you were making. Now you can call it your Bemini Road. (As in the Bermuda triangle road to Atlantis)🤣 PostScript; Myself? from moving small stones and leveling it out I have found using a rake is much faster and easier than a shovel.
Also, with gold miners. They always name their equipment. Same as in boating it is considered unlucky not to name a boat. If I may be so bold would offer a name as Rocksand {IE.. from the song roxanne]
take some of your metal and your welder i bet you could make a nice little feed shoot for on top that you could dump a 5 gal bucket full of rock to feed on its own basically
The crusher rocks it.. LoL When I first saw it, and it made sand, I'm thinking just buy some more gravel, but you guys worked it out very well. And the plan to put it by the rock pile feeding the loader bucket is perfect. Also, I have to say the kids are so cool to be jumping in to help. Love seeing them in the videos. :) Did you remove the forms from the root cellar? Looking forward to seeing how it came out. Stay safe
Hey look at all that money you would have saved all those rocks that's all you need is the machine you could have saved all kinds of money but you guys are okay hey at least you got the machine that's okay you know everybody makes mistakes but hey we're all not perfect have a good day
Nice job ! Is there a way to elevate the rock crushing machine with enough room for a front end loader from your backhoe? that way the gravel can be deposited directly into the backhoe. With the front loader, and you can spread the gravel ? Just a thought.
If you know where there is another unit like this - Deanna and I would be interested for the EXACT SAME REASONS!! We are north of Reno-Sparks, Nevada!!

remember to check the oil every time you start it
Once you get your big repairs done I bet you’ll be glad you have it for regular maintenance.
Y'all are blessed with some good children, helpful!
I’ve been referring to you as the Rock Warrior. You’re winning this battle.
as always there is from me 👍👍👍👍👍

What a great new "toy" ! Neverending fun. 😊
That's an AWESOME crusher it will be great to get rid all the piles of rocks you've dug up! God Bless y'all!
I think loading the material into a chute then into the Front End Loader on the tractor - perfect set up.
The little machine is great good job guys you have so many Stone there make good use of it
❤great video. I like that you’re now independent with gravelling your driveway. Thank you for sharing🙏🙂

Fantastic job with that rock crusher. Great investment on that one. You will never run out of rock to use with the rock crusher.👍👍

Them kids need a little wagon mom and dad. Lol
Pretty sure you'll never run out of raw material! Unfortunately Gold doesn't stick to magnets!
I can see a chute to feed and the crusher elevated 2 feet.
Very interesting machine it will take a while but you will get it, Cheers from Calgary Canada

Awesome job guys. Think I may look into one of those little crushers.
Good investment guys

Didn't expect that video but enjoyed it! Good job. Sometimes you have to spend money to save money 🎉
Great job friends! Have a nice week!
What a team!! Awesome video! Once a week is just not enough lol
Great addition to your tool set.
Kind regards Christiaan

We could, but that would be quite the operation. Thanks 🙂
Love the video and your tenacity for getting the work done on the road. If that bolt keeps workng its way out, maybe some locktite will keep it in place for an extended period of time. Great job.
Turn your process around and leave a trail of crushed rock behind you to spread out.
Heh heh, wondered when this is going to happen. I foresee in future a bigger one for the mother rocks .... and little one doing what it is doing now .... I smell some money making with all that rock (gold) laying around ....
Lots of work to work all that gravel. I am all for a larger gravel crusher! I do not know the cost but could be used as a money maker if needed.
Ha Ha! Might not hurt to pan a few once in a while. Who knows what comes up in that stuff. Kids would get a kick out of it.
Good morning how you folks doing today hope everything is fine looks like you're doing a good job on getting closer to the building in the house yet but all right see you guys later
Awesome machine. Maybe safety glasses??
4 wheeerl with trailer full of rocks saves trips
That’s definitely a T&M job (Time & Materials)
Pun intended

Those bolts I’ve only found them thru Keene ,good luck I have run 1000s of tons thru mine ,but I’m doing it for gold
That's awesome. Thanks for sharing.
At least you don't have to buy gravel anymore. Put all those rocks on your property to good use.

have you considered setting it up on a raised platform and grinding into a wheelbarrow?
Yes, but into the backhoe bucket. Thanks 🙂
@@aboulderlifeoffgrid I posted before I saw the end of the video. Best of luck!
If you have the free rocks, why not make them into something useable, you will save money eventually on loads of gravel for the road !!
lol just saw the ending I commented too early
😁 Thanks
I've seen the rocks on your property. That chute ain't no where big enough for your rocks.

Andrew camarata has one real crusher. I wonder how much gasoline does that engine gulp versus its yield.
I'm not sure of the exact amount, but it didn't seem like much. Thanks 🙂
