i think luke is merely participating in hilder's game, which, well.....two wrongs don't make a right, but luke still isn't the total bad guy. Hilder's goal is to restore pandemonium, and to do that would require the death of the other 11 apostles as well as the destruction of arad and emperyan. michael blocking the path to ozma does reinforce that someone wants the apostles to fall, but it never speculates whom. Still, it can't be luke, as his goal is to merely go into hiding and create an army to defeat anyone who wants his head [as well as the fact taht vaughn is a douche and kills him if you go grim seeker and you kill him if you join any other faction]. I'm a bit sad that luke has to die. I mean he's no saint, inconveniencing arad and emperyan just for his own safety, but being a launcher who joined grim seeker. i would have proposed that if he decided to work with the dungeon fighters then he could be tried in emperyan for his crimes rather than getting killed off.
