@@stufr.reacts really. It’s a walking or driving meditation for me. There’s something powerful about the way Namjoon repeats phrases or words in a song like a mantra. The way he includes instrumentals as the chorus to give you time with your own thoughts. If my thoughts are too scattered to get things done or if my mind is just in a bad place, putting “mono” on (with “reflection” solo song) gets me centered again.
Even the way the songs drift from a little louder to a little softer, which you didn’t love in blue and gray, but I argue that having the mood/tone changes really helps your brain refocus on the difference better than if it was all one style. Sort of like reapplying a fave perfume to immediately bring back the feelings that you associate with it, but the break in between serves it’s purpose to redirect your wandering mind.

Growing up I would say to myself "this too shall pass" (didn't know it was biblical - it just helped) when there were tough times. Now it's "everything goes".
RM is an amazing therapist!! MONO is my safety blanket whenever I feel the blues creep in. It’s like he can read how we’re feeling during the lows in our life. Love Moonchild and UHGOOD are my favorite songs on this album. It’s so relatable and gorgeous! Happy New Year gentlemen!!! 💜

RM is such an amazing lyric written, I love this song! The message are always so nice, and rather than saying you should not feel a specific way they teach you to embrace it but to not let it take you over.

When listening to RM's mono, let your soul be open and connect with the music and the meaning. It embraces pain yet giving hope to the broken. that's why Mono is therapeutic and healing for many broken people. It is beyond beautiful. He's just a true artist that speaks from the heart & soul. I sincerely think that "Mono" is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever listened to in my life and I'm not very young, and I grew up listening to all the greats in the history of music from all over the world, from Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, Elton John, Charles Aznavour, Fairouz, Queen, Georges Mickael... etc. "Mono" in its entirety is a poetry beautifully constructed in a reflection that plunges you into the depths of your soul. I really recommend you to listen to the whole mixtape in the order of the songs, RM will guide you in a sometimes sinuous path but whose logic is understandable at the end with, as always in BTS albums, a way out towards light and hope.
“Moonchild” - written and composed by RM and Hiss Noise - is the 3rd track from RM’s mixtape mono.
In a behind the scenes talk about the making of the album, RM revealed that he included a spoiler for the upcoming song by including the word “moonchild” in his and Taehyung’s song “4 o'clock.”

Backed by a relaxed instrumental and a heavy beat, the song’s lyrics urge those who are struggling to find comfort in the darkness. The lyrics encourage those who are enduring personal hardships to hold on to hope and find light, like light from the moon, within themselves.
This passage sums up well the intention of this song:

Although the term ‘moonchild’ was first featured in RM’s verse in “4 o'clock,” the concept of looking to the moon rather than the sun has been present since BTS’s 2014 album Dark&Wild with their song “Blanket Kick” all the way to “I’m Fine” from their 2018 Love Yourself: 結 Answer.
“I was too shy to become your sun so I became a cold moon”
This metaphor of finding light in the least expected places has been evident throughout RM’s writing. It displays his belief that light, happiness, hope, etc do not have to be found where we expect to find them. Sometimes, the good in this world is hidden in the shadows.
RM encourages his audience to share their light with pride. Despite it possibly being unorthodox, everyone has light within them.
Wish you the best for 2021 and like RM said in his new year wishs "Remember that they can't stop spring to come"

Mono is a masterpiece of a mixtape! Please react to it, this is just one of his many amazing works. The whole album heals heart and tends to the soul. Moonchild is a song that touches you in parts that you’ve never been touched in the heart. Namjoon has a real talent in making his songs and this album really showcases that. I wish you had reacted to his first mixtape first, because it shows his growth and maturity from the 1st to the 2nd. His musicality became more mature and he as a person has matured from child to adult. It's honestly really beautiful to see how he changed as he got older and wiser.
I love RM's MONO album so much, it's one of my favorite albums. RM and his lyrics are pure poetry.
Moonchild is one of the BTS songs that really resonated with me, particularly the line, Moonchild, don't cry.. It's such a comforting song.. 💜

I hope you will react to his song called “ Seoul”. Its a very chill song too, and he also sing/raps in it. Its one of my personally favourites. He describes his relationship with Seoul in a poetic way.

I listen to MONO at least once a week and was so surprised when it came out as it was so much different from RMs first mixtape in which he showed us more of a fierce and aggressive type of rap 😌
And I think someone mentioned it already but I highly recommend to listen to the full playlist in order. The songs are going so well together and some sounds are intertwining between tracks, it's just a whole journey!💜

This was just about the time when Namjoon was experimenting with this new style, you can see almost a 180° from his previous first mixtape "RM".
Honestly I think you guys never went through all facets of hip hop/rap, maybe you just experienced songs hard hitting, and main stream, from the hiphop, and that's not your cup of tea. But there's so much more to explore with melodic raps, the type that goes towards R&B, and even Trap...

Well, this amazing song hit me hard. I have always tried to transmute my pain and sorrow--my "thorns"--into something positive, feeling that I wanted to be strong for others and didn't want to drag them down. Maybe, instead, I was making people feel, somehow, less comforted. Less strong. I truly hope not.
Just for the record, my life is full of pain and loss, and I feel lost, alone, confused, frightened, sad, and weak a lot of the time. All of you are a help and a comfort. 💜
I love the imagery that comes with the moon. RM has moonchild and Jin has the song moon. There's something really comforting about it. RM's mixtape is incredibly thought provoking and deep. I love it so much. Happy New year !.

I'm not a fan of hip hop either. This song has just a bit of hip hop. It does sound more of a smooth jazz sound. Very mellow & relaxing. RM has sucha great voice.
