Fanbullah has got to be the slowest looking fast guy I've ever seen. If he ever sorts out his starts man... And I love watching Asafa run. He's got beautiful form
because you judge speed by turnover/limb speed only. Turnover speed is what we can see. But it's hard to detect a high ground reaction impulse. Imagine seeing a spinter from the side running without any reference (no background, nothing). It would be very difficult to estimate his running velocity. A good coach would look at turnover speed, hip ROM, contact time and limb length to estimate the speed. The best sprinters indeed have freaking fast turnover speed but also a large hip ROM. Shorter limbs also lead to higher turnover because of lower angular momentum.

If you’re defining power as explosive starting ability it’ll have to go Andre Cason, Christian Coleman, Ben Johnson, Su Bingtain, Asafa Powell, Justin Gatlin, Maurice Greene

I personally would put Asafa Powell as number one because of his explosive start
Me too
Su Bingtian has an even more explosive start.
Bolt is way heavier so he needs more power to run as fast
his form uuummmm
Not Gatlin ?
Fahnbulleh basically doing small long jumps his strides over the last 60m are so wide
Largest stride length ever measured I believe -- 2.90. Bolt's was 'only' about 2.7.
Glad to see Johnson make the cut. Still one of my favourite sprinters to watch. That start/stance was like none other.
What a great list. Subscribed.
Linford Christie has to be included. If “intimidation” factor was a thing in sprinting, he was an imposing figure for sure.
He was in Part 1 this is Part 2

I have plans to make a video about Tyson when I can get around to it

Harry Akin .. Mories Green... Asafa Powell... Dwine chamber.. Shawine Cowfold.. Michael Johnson...
Yohan Blake...
