Hey, thanks for the clarification about the difference in cranks! Forged deff is better. I don't know if the forged crank of the HO 4.7 got carried over to the dual plug '08 4.7 with all the revisions chysler did for that year and following... my crank does have that Wide flat seam in the middle so wonder if my 288AA crank is forged... does Have forged I beams and high compression pistons, so maybe...
One thing I'm finding myself thinking watching your videos is what ya gonna do to match the piston weights to the removed material on the counter weights? I understand the crank mods but also know balancing is important too. Regardless, Thanks for the video mate! Glad your back at the bench! Rest up!

I am not 100% sure but think all HO blocks had forged cranks including the later twin plug engines. If not you should be able to use one and change over the tone ring? Not sure the rods are forged? They looked the same as the stock 4.7 rods. The HO just has fully floating pistons. I just posted a list of differences in the HO blocks in my RUclips community page. Check it out. It does not mention forged rods. The rods and pistons I am using are lighter than the stock rods and pistons. I am not removing a whole lot of weight. The crank will be balanced first by itself and only after that the exactly matched rods and pistons will be added so it should all balance out. The engineer told me to go ahead with what I wanted to do and he said it was a good plan. So not to concerned about that ATM. Editing the next episode as we speak. Should be online tonight here or in about 11 hours.

    Just install a HO crank.

The crank I am grinding in this RUclips clip is a HO crank. I am building a 1000 HP + engine. I need a crank with low drag and weight.
