That white rook was the John Wick of chess killing 40 points off the board
And then winning the game
3 queens, 2 rooks, 1 knight, 1 pawn! 41 points. And of course the mate. That's one hungry rook.
The John Wick of Chess…😂
😂😂😂 100%
That rook is gonna have serious PTSD after that
In a group project, that rook is the group member that ends up doing 99% of all the group work.
That too towards the end of the submission time
Kazem: My army of queens will beat you!
Daniel: I don't need an army, I just need a rook.
No simping for the queens
I just need the Rooooooook!
Dan: You and what army?
Even Chuck Norris would run from that rook!

Kazem is like that one really powerful villain who loses because they were too arrogant
Even Magnus hasn't taken 3 Queens and 2 Rooks with the same Rook.
We went from sacrificing the rook to everything to sacrificing everything to the rook, this is real development to the gothamchess meme lore
Now this is THE ROOK
Nah this comment is underrated
Old title: 400 elo. 100% accuracy
I evidenced "400 ELO, 100% ACCURACY!!!"
I prefer the old title
Thank you, some of the comments didn't make sense without knowing this.
@@OvercookedOctopusFeetits for engagement, he’s trying to grow his channel. The content is the same why does it bother you!
Thank you......I understand the comments now 😂
Dude either threw the game for rating, or his cat was stepping on his keyboard.
My theory is he pooped his pants but didn't want to resign.
When Kazem is old enough to read someone send him a copy of practical chess endings.
levy never fails to change the title
What was it before?
@@Fishin_brother “400 elo. 100% accuracy” was the title before
there are analytics on this, but yes, changing the title CAN help for veiws by a lot. This second title is a lot more clickbait then the first, and well, clickbait works.
Only way a 400 gets 100% accuracy is if his opponent resigns after move 1
POTATO
400’s are GODS
400s are the equivalent of Magnus Carlsen. The second they become 500s, they are the equivalent of 500s.
I find accuracy usually depends on how bad your opponent plays, as it's much easier to spot the best move when someone keeps hanging free pieces.
@@LoreTunderin Also if you play a boring symmetrical d4 opening and just agree to a draw after 20 moves of nothing your accuracy will be like 95% no matter what your rating. This is why Kramnik's interpretation of accuracy is so ridiculous - it only means something if it's like 98% accuracy AND ALSO the game was fairly sharp, so a human wouldn't get that sort of accuracy in a very sharp game.
Bro that rook also took his bank account's savings and proceeded to sell the black kings soul to the devil
Seriously. The rook was a short seller and came out big.
My bad y’all, I’m Dan…
Can I see your dating profile? 😂
That rook deserves to be made into a gold monument or something.
For you, capturing a queen was the greatest day of your life. For that rook, it was just another saturday.
the rook needs to be nerfed fr

@@_B4nk damn what an inspiring story.
I wonder if someone is able to check on a database if this is the record most number of points of materials captured by a single piece.
Well I got interested by this and I gave it a shot. It works, but processing a large number of games takes wayyy too long so I had to put some limits in place.
For example, in this attempt I ran through all games on Lichess from june 2016 (n=6136419). I then applied a few filters to greatly reduce that number, which included only looking for up to 900 elo rated players (as these things probably don't happen to more advanced players) and only check in rated games (as that's even funnier) and for games that did not end in a draw (because besides stalemate why should they if you totally obliterate your opponent with a single piece). That reduced the number to a way more manageable number, which I then ran through a script that keeps track of the points of material captured by every single piece during that game.
For the month June 2016, within the limits I described above, that led to the following winner: lichess.org/vP5DrTc2 with 18 points with a white rook!
(Keep track of the rook starting on the A1 square, it goes pretty ham eventually haha).

Levy love your videos mainly your recap videos I enjoy them the most. I have seen you recapping games of some historical chess figures I highly enjoy those videos It'll be fantastic if you recap some of José Raúl Capablanca's fantastic games and give us some positional chess tips in the process . Yes, I know you did some games of Capablanca but, Capablanca weren't the protagonist. I would love you to recap one of his best games. Also I recommend you making the video after vacation so you can enjoy your vacation and also the voice doesn't sound weird much appreciated ❤

Yeah, but we all know him to be a high strung drama queen.
@@damario1972 Lol
When levy actually quits chess, no one will believe the title.
what is so stunning to me is that these players are better than 97% of the world at chess
It’s crazy just how bad everyone (generally) is at chess without practice or studying, sure it’s like that with other games too, but for chess it’s just like extreme 😂
@@st0rminecraft62Because even at the base level, chess requires much more pattern recognition and strategy than other games. You won't just magically be good without knowing any theory or understanding positions. There's no RNG, no controls, none of that in chess, all in your mind.
POTATO
@@st0rminecraft62exactly, i feel like the skill gap/curve in chess is so intense. as a 1700 rated player, i feel confident that i’d beat these players every time, but i myself would be absolutely crushed by a 2000-rated player, who would be crushed by any NM/FM, who would be beaten by any normal GM easily, who would be beaten by any super GM easily
only because 97% of the world doesn't play chess lol. they're better than maybe 0.1% of chess players

I recently got into chess and I’m about 250 elo which I know is sad but the point is that even I can’t believe how bad this game was. Seriously painful to watch and I’d like to think I don’t screw things up that badly haha
Haha all of us low rated players who watch these videos would like to think that 😉
Good luck with your chess and rating gains, I was at 275 ELO and now I've improved to a whopping 400 😂

Probably the single most valuable rook in the history of chess, congrats dan!

Levy never fails to overdramatise a standard beginners' game 😅😅😅
1:26 - He is probably Persian which is live in Turkey cause in Turkish written like "Kazım" (used to be Kâzım).
Here's little unnecessary info : Kazem (also spelled Kadim, Kadhem, Kadhim, Kazim, Qazim or Cathum; written in Arabic: كاظم, in Persian: کاظِم) means "tolerant", "forgiving", and "having patience" is an Arabic male given name.
And he forgive his opponent by giving all queens back to Daniel.

Hey Gotham, I have a game that id like to submit for how to lose at chess. 650 Elo. White had +5 then blundered again and again until black had M1 on the board. Black went for an endgame and had a rook and 4 connected passed pawns and white just had kind and rook. White won. Typical 600 elo craziness. How do I submit it?

Thubtitle made me click ..better not be click bait
total clickbait - pathetic from someone who can actually play chess that he has to resort to clickbait nonsense in his titles and his intro
Ever since I was a little kid, I loved to follow the world Chess championships.
The very first chess championship was in 1886 and was won by an American named Steinitz. To kind of compare the first world series in baseball was 1903. The first super bowl in football was 1967. Chess has been around a lot longer and has had a lot more history than all of our favorite sports now. And chess is a legitimate world championship.
When the Cold War came along, the USSR, and then later to be known as Russia began to dominate the world Chess championships.
That all changed for only one year when Bobby Fischer in 1972 won the world championship from the Soviet Union.
There were all kinds of crazy politics and the chess match actually had to happen in Iceland.
In 1996, history was made when the computers became stronger than humans in chess. The first time was a world famous match between world champion. Gary Kasparov and IBM's deep blue.
Today the computers are even stronger.
Along with the rise of computers though, kids are becoming stronger and stronger at chess at earlier ages.
There was a young player from Norway at the age of 13 was able to achieve a draw against Gary Kasparov. His name is Magnus Carlson. During the game, Magnus actually had the advantage but playing it safe, accepted the draw. Magnus Carlson went on to become one of the best endgame players, and is a master at converting games that should not be won into wins.
2 years ago, Magnus Carlson was faced against this player, who early on in his career had been caught cheating. Anyways, this guy known for cheating beats Carlson. This whole conspiracy thing about this guy cheating in chess got pretty deep. So in another tournament, Carlson was faced with the same guy and resigned on the first move and pulled out of the tournament. Carlson then decided not to defend his world championship.
So now we're back to the Cold War. The current world champion is from China. I believe his name is Ding Liren.
On the women's side of the world Chess championship, it's held by a Chinese woman, and another Chinese woman won the candidates tournament. So either way, on the women's side, China is going to win.
But now this is where history is being made.
In the early 2000s, Anand from India won the world championship. I played online chess, against people from everywhere and they always show the flag of what country they're from. Chess in India became super popular, after Anand from India won. A good majority of my online matches are against people from India.
So history was made again because a 17-year-old from India won the candidates tournament. D. Guckish is the youngest player ever in the history of Chess to play for the world championship.
So along with the rise of the computers, online games, youtube; the strength of young kids playing chess has also increased.
It's kind of a fun subject. I've been playing chess for 44 years, played in big classical tournaments, played thousands and thousands of games online. But in my last big tournament, I won a game against a super strong player. But in the tournament I lost a game to 12 year old girl.
Levy will never sacrifice his rook again after this one
Now levy will think twice before sacrifice his rook
That Rook woke up that morning and chose violence.
How do I submit a game for guess the elo? I had one recently that I thought might be good for that.
I feel like trying out every established opening in chess, just to drop back to that level to have that kind of fun, playing such bad chess. And I can do it too; I'm only 600 Elo at the moment.
I hope you had a good time on kingsday Gotham!
