Just because 2 bands play in harmonic minor doesn’t mean one is copying the other. Besides 12 notes in music. Although Chevelle plays in more than just harmonic minor and other eastern sounds.

@Ivory_ Lagiacrus_YT This is true, but there are definitely moments where I can hear Tool's influence on the band. For example, the way Pete is singing in the chorus sounds very much like Maynard to me. Some of the riffs also sound very Adam Jones-y.
Obviously it's not a direct rip-off. Pete is still his own very talented musician, with his own voice, after all. But the similarities are definitely there.

Btw, im just 16 yo.
