Hello Len, Thank you for this lesson; the fun of painting this is outrages. My Wife will not let me give this one away. I also have had several other Family and Friends ask for one for themselves. My first painting I did was in an abstract style. The second painting I used more details. Some like it abstract and others like the more realistic look. Either way, you did it again, created an absolute wonderful lesson on painting with “Soul”! Thank You! Rob from Colorado
I'm so happy to have found this video! I was looking for an idea for the background of a painting and the idea of boats is perfect! I never knew how exactly to paint a boat and now I'll be painting a fair few on a painting! I've gone to your website too and I'm so excited to continue reading more from you! Thank you so much for this series. You seem so calm and nice and it will be a pleasure to learn from you! :)
Hi Len! I really enjoy the beautiful paintings and the easy to follow instructions. I have a question regarding oil vs acrylics. It seems you have switched from oil (yes, I have watched some older videos of a slightly younger len hend scrubbing in oil with his fingertips) to acrylics. Is there a reason? To me oil seems more fun and versaitile, but maybe more dangerous to ones health?
Thanks Carolyn - yes, most of the finer explanations about brush loading refer to tree painting, I'll do more showing the palette and loading multi colors on the brush.
What brand of paint do you use ? Thanks, I'm a beginner , is there any specific paint you would recommend to me ?. My dad found a box in the garage with a few paint tubes from Windsor and Newton , and I'm finding that the paint doesn't stick to the brush very well and is difficult to get the colours to stick to the brush and frustrating? I'm not sure if this is because the paint is fairly old , but some paints stick better than others, could you give me any advice? Sorry for writing so much haha
Thank you for this lesson. After having a bad watercolor day I did this in acrylics on canvas. It turned out great. My husband loves my painting!!!
Thanks a million Len! A simple yet very cool painting. I did it with oils and it turned out great.

Very beautiful
Could you take some time to explain how you load your brushes & knives to get that dual look ? Again very beautiful
Thanks Carolyn - yes, most of the finer explanations about brush loading refer to tree painting, I'll do more showing the palette and loading multi colors on the brush.

I love watching your videos, however I really struggle to hear you, to much background noise making you muffled.
