The best exercise is the one that you do. The best routine is the one that you do more than once. It’s all about time. The more that is accomplished per unit time, the better.
I did HIIT my whole life in various sports including cricket, soccer, rugby, BMX and mtb racing, karate, sprint events, refereeing, etc as well as cardio endurance events. At age 34 I had a breakdown due bad treatment at work and was hospitalized and medically bordered. Recovered a bit since then but never able to get to my some sporting level and ability again. Now aged 44 and getting worse again. Constantly tired, lethargic, low on energy, regular musculoskeletal pains and fatigue, prone to niggling injuries that take long to heal, etc, also slow reaction times and vision deteriorating and battle to focus long periods. Researched and tried several things, nothing helps. Lots of money making scams around nobody values human life. Any advice or assistance would be so much appreciated.
Maybe try Wim Hof breathing with cold bath and hot sauna, five tibetan rites exercises and eat as much food that makes body alkaline. Mitochondria hormesis, sometimes blood test might show low level of vitamin D.
I wish I were capable to give an advice, I pray that things get better for you. Please don't lose hope in humanity or give up on yourself! Change is inevitable ❤ hold on to hope! Lots of Love
I want to say that this was helpful, but actually, it's raised more questions than anything else. I've been considering adding some HIIT to my workouts, but now I'm questioning how beneficial that would be. If one does mostly low or moderate intensity steady state, would you say that HIIT would be a good way to add variety? Are new activities more challenging, and therefor more effective? I don't feel like I am progressing toward my fitness goals as rapidly as I was when I first started exercising, and want to get "unstuck."
I’m just wondering if you train HIIT like this…. 30 seconds of work with 30 seconds of rest. 3 different exercises, pull ups dips push ups. Do 7-10 rounds . Heart rate stays around 120-130, just wondering is this hitting both systems aerobic and anaerobic . I just hear it it’s not affecting your vo2max then your not actually getting fitter
