I’ve been a massive Watcher enthusiast and have watched a lot of videos covering the topic. The show was cool, but I thought it was silly and could’ve leaned much more into the creepy eerie factor of this mystery. My take on this mystery is that it was the family trying to get out of a poor financial decision. It’s a lame conclusion to the very intriguing case, but at the end of the day I don’t think it was some serial stalker. It’s entirely possible that I could be wrong and there was in fact a serial stalker, but the likelihood of them going completely unnoticed in the neighborhood is pretty low. The poor financial decision theory does have its issues such as them spending a presumably large amount of money on protection alongside the fact that they sold the house at a loss. There’s just so many things about this case that feel too perfect. That house never got letters beforehand and the tenants that moved in after the family only received one very vague letter. It’s all very interesting and I’m sure we’ll get answers someday. Every theory has its issues, but it just makes the most sense to me that it was the family themselves

The information in the letters didn't appear to be all that intimate. It could be information easily picked up in general conversation with neighbours for example. Alternatively, if the letters were sent in the mail, the writer could easily be anyone who knew about the move; not necessarily someone from the neighbourhood of the house. For example a jealous colleague who the husband had told about the move, could have written the letters just to piss on his parade.

These mic settings seem to amplify the background noise (kind of static). Your whispers aren’t as pronounced and audible. I enjoy the older settings 🫶
