I live next to where the protests were happening. From what I gathered, most were peaceful until some decided to screw everything up. I saw kids breaking windows for instance. Btw and I'm a foreign student. Whenever I engage to ask question with the police, they were nice to me which was great and did care to get me out of harms way.

I have sympathy for the family of the slain young man Mr. Floyd. However why are people doing these things to the cities where they live? Also I may ask where were the protests the last time a white man or Hispanic or Asian or Jewish or Muslim person was harmed by police? There is disparity within all low income groups not just the black culture. Many low income persons get treated in the same way as Mr. Floyd and you don't have riots. I'm not sure where this mob mentality is coming from. And media keeps us informed if we subscribe to reliable sources. However much of the media is bias. If we have 1/2 a brain, we can determine what is real. And must leave emotional, divisive, racial, economic biases out of it in order to make honest judgments.

I have sympathy for the family of the slain young man Mr. Floyd. However why are people doing these things to the cities where they live? Also I may ask where were the protests the last time a white man or Hispanic or Asian or Jewish or Muslim person was harmed by police? There is disparity within all low income groups not just the black culture. Many low income persons get treated in the same way as Mr. Floyd and you don't have riots. I'm not sure where this mob mentality is coming from. It there were protests each time there was a wrongful death or assault of any person our streets would be filled each and every day. inequality lives in all races, and I have seen it personally. It is how we react to things that determines our character. Get rid of the bad actors on both sides of the issue and solve things peacefully and legally with equality for everyone.
