I've been listening to this song for 24 years. I've heard thousands of other great songs in that time but none of them have knocked Piledriver off my #1 spot. At this point I don't think anything will. Well over 500 times that I listened to it I still get goosebumps when it starts....! If music is a drug this song is my favorite hit!

This track has NEVER seen its equal, nor will it EVER be matched. It is in a class all its own and cannot be compared to anything. Its structure is so unique in composition, so intricate, and complex.... most sound engineers and producers are too lazy to take a production to this level these days. I will forever respect Andy Gray for this gift!

This whole double album is amazing and this one song stands strong even now. Someone handed me a copy of Tranceport and I was hooked on Paul Oakenfold 20 years ago.

I noticed this incredible transition the first time I heard it. Not sure if I even liked Piledriver at the time, but the transition was so good I wondered if the song had been recorded just for this purpose. Props to recognizing the brilliance of Tears in the Rain back in 2000

Just amazing. I was a young man when I first heard this album. Now I'm a lot older but it still is the best trance album ever made. Paul mixes are just genius. I will never get tired of hearing it even after all these years. Years lost like tears.... in the rain.

This remains my favorite track of all time. I've listened for almost 2 decades and it hits every single time.
i remember finding this. Then showing my friend who was knee deep in PO at the time who had never heard it before. To this day i am a legend to him for it.

THIS track coupled with that Blade Runner Monologue death speech is simply the best combo mix ever for me. The lyrics are haunting. You can’t quite pin them down. I used to think they said “Like a car crash in the rain” and then I read somewhere that they actually say “like a cloud cries in the rain”. Epic either way. Love the image/idea of a cloud crying though. Shall we all get tattoo reminders that read: “You’ve Got A Wonder That’s All Your Own!” Or “You gotta wonder, it's all your own!” Heaven knows…
This mix with Tears in Rain into Pile Driver gave me and my husband so much inspiration we manifested Paul Oakenfold and Underworld concert in Denver 2007 - I swear - I’m not even joking. The best song ever in trance house land. Makes me tear up thinking about it. 😎✨💫

This is the album that lit the fire inside for my love of trance. Has never left my side since the day it was released. Also hearing the Bladerunner audio was mind-blowing having been a fanatic of the movie since I was a kid. They just don't make them like this anymore!! Massive track mix.

First one I got was Matt Darey’s Ibiza euphoria, which opened me up to Paul Van dyk, then oakenfold and tiesto. Ahhh memories. Except for those imported double disc prices!

I remember the epic first experience I had with Oakenfold. It was Ultrafest in Miami, maybe 2007. He played an awesome set right as the sun set in the background. 🌆

Much respect to this track. One of the greatest prog trance tracks of all time, if not the greatest. So many memories listening to this. Now 30, but first heard it when I was 16. Good times and lots of good music over the years, but this one for sure holds a special place.

Oakey did a fantastic job of blending Eugina 2000 into Song to the Siren on Disc 2. Another World is one hell of a mix, quite possibly the best trance/progressive mix ever released.

Great catch and great point, most never notice and such a great line from a bad ass flick. Rutger Hauer improvised it and made it the best death ending in cinematic history. Oakenfold was killing it on this album..Vangelis rocks

The craziest thing was, when he came aboard the bus he was ready to drink and out of nowhere he made a vodka tonic for her and I. I was in complete aww. It was our best night ever.

Still got to hand it to Oaky. One of the best all time transitions in the history of dance music. Lays down two powerful tracks and cuts it in at the only point you can even do it. Just amaze balls. Both tracks are 2 of the best ever produced for their time and Amoeba Assassin's Piledriver GOS Mix has got to be one of the best tracks of all time. You can have fun with chemistry and songs are elevated when you do. This track does that all by itself.
