I listen to the King’s Song almost every other day lately - for some reason it’s beauty and stateliness reminds me of all the music and poetry that have gone before; the women, perhaps who created the song - but to make something wonderful out of what is a hard life, a sad life, and to sing it with this confidence and joy. It gives me confidence and joy as well!
the king's song I believe used to be a poem/song written around 1200 AD by a traveling group of gisaeng. It was suppose to reflect their lives and it also had to do with the koryo dynasty and how decadent it was

The history of Korea is Silla millennium Goryeo 500 years and Joseon 500 years. The Goryeo Dynasty was a culture similar to the present 70 years in South Korea. Goryeo was not a class period. During the Goryeo Dynasty, men and women were equal, and everyone was a proud Goryeo people. Goryeo liked to sing and was a sexual, cultural and open society. Korea wiped out pirates in the sea and engaged in foreign trade with Islam Africa. Goryeo was crowded with merchant tourists from abroad. Goryeo protects against Chinese aggression, and King Gongmin finally decides to defeat China. At the end of the Goryeo Dynasty, all troops were mobilized to conquer the Chinese continent. However, Yi Seong-gye rebelled while crossing the Chinese border, bringing the army down toward Seoul. The splendid 500 years of the Goryeo Dynasty collapsed. The next 500 years of the Joseon Dynasty were not proud of the discriminatory classist gender inequality, the weakening of national defense, and the deterioration of religious culture. Now, North Korea calls its country the People's Republic of Joseon. After imitating Joseon, North Korea is poor and unequal. The characteristic of Koreans is that they achieve infinite economic and cultural achievements when the political system is supported. South Korea is making a great Korea with the spirit of the Goryeo people.
