I’ve tried many many times! Can you think of any other solutions? This is the perfect solution for sending out our baby announcements!
If you add the action wait (I increase the time to 3 seconds), move the action before End Repeat it will automatically send to all of the contacts in your group. I hope that made sense.

I'm so sorry you had trouble. Unfortunately I created this tutorial about a year ago and things are constantly changing in the tech world. I would first make sure that everything is in the exact same order as demonstrated in the video. If this does not solve the problem, then Apple must have made a change to the way Siri Shortcuts works!

Hi Clara I have created your shortcut app, but the magic variable did not work. When I press and hold TEXT a pop-up menu appears, I chose 'select variables' and then it sends message 'select magic variable' I scroll up and 'select Photos' and it replaces the original TEXT now with Photos. I tried this several times. It never adds Photos to the Message along with the Text, just replaces it. Help What am I doing wrong?

Can you give the photo command after or before text?? Or should it always at the top before they phone selects contacts ?? Oh yeah!! Hope the baby is fine 🙂
Mine does give option to cancel or next on the top, nor the three dots… how do I know I sent it? I have everything the same up to the last part which is sending the text
From your main shortcuts screen (where you can view all your shortcuts as square icons) you can simply tap this shortcut to run the automation. To check and see if it has worked, open your messages app and see if the message has been sent! Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

That’s weird, I’m not sure what the problem is but this tutorial was created almost 2 years ago and it’s possible that the software has changed. Double check to ensure you have followed all the steps in the video in the order they are presented

It only populated the image, no text. Any ideas? Text by itself worked: Still had to press send for each person. This was great though!

Not sure about the order it needs to be in, but to be safe I would use the exact order as presented in the video. Best of luck and thank you so much

I did everything you did (minus the picture) and when I tap the ▶play button it processes the shortcut, but nothing happens. 😞

Sorry to hear that! My guess is that the app was somehow interrupted, crashed, or it simply ran out of contacts to text!
