People got spoiled by by 3.5 thinking that 4.5 is gonna be the same comedic reliefe and respite for a chapter. I'd rather like this where they set up the Sinner before their own chapter.
...Deep down, that Ishmael flashback scares the sh*t out of me, I've played Arknights some of the CGs legitimately made me feel various types of emotion from fear, excitement, empathy and rage. However, that scene where Ishmael's ship struggle in midst of the storm and raging tides, face to face with WTH was that WHAALE!!?? Made me feel insignificant, like a speck of dust before a broom.
Also also, this chapter made me see Ishmael in new light. I always thought her most reasonable, on the top of things one. She would always make sure to prepare, is first to take mission seriously, and shit on people who dont; scoffing wildcards which throw wrench into works by being impulsive. Avoid every mistake. Prevent every failure. Erase every risk. Never prepared enough. Never face danger unless sure that you succeed. Drive yourself mad studying for coming exam and yet, never truly feel ready. Check the door lock ten times before leaving home for the rest of your life. This is NOT what being cool and composed is like. Its the opposite. Deep down the scar, ishmael is scarred no less than heathcliff; the grudges held and pain suffered changing them on most internal level.
u corp's technology has me very interested too, probably the coolest singularity introduced so far. i hope the whale ties into it in a satisfying way like is implied and not lamely.
Funny story, my buddy whos finishing LoR is getting censored versions of all the cutscenes made by my bud and I, stock images pasted onto faces and fake names all to cover up spoilers with edited text, fun times
Magic Hell Bus was certainly an improvement in a lot of regards. Both the ids are solid instead of just one solid and 1 I incredibly niche, the crabs are easy to grind and despite being 3/4s done I haven't gotten tired because I don't have to run a dungeon where if I fall asleep for a moment I won't find a pile of gore I called a Sinner, and the story is pretty good prelude for chapter 5. I don't mind the comedic detours, but it was nice to see Ishmael having a complete schizo episode the entire time and be justified. Also Molar Office was plot relevant and not a cameo. I am happy this was the case because I did feel kind of cheated we didn't see our favorite cannibal couple. That does make the inevitable question of when we ask about The Library strange because unless someone from there shows up in The Main Story I can't see Dante needing to ask about it in a way that doesn't feel forced. Talking about Lobotomy came natural in LOR because 11/12 cast came from their and was a main plot of the series, but this isn't really the case with the new cast. IDK maybe I view talking about the previous game differently than you, might be why I was fine with the distortion talk in the previous event but's that a whole nother can of worms.
1:58 I mean, because of the whole thing that happend in Leviathan, Vergilius past (And probably his quest, or "wish") is tied to the events of the library, so that was kinda bound to happen. Edit:Plus they don't really have to fully expose stuff in cutscenes, as you can probably read all about that in Dante's Diary
One thing to note that i noticed, if you have the id or E.G.O. equipped to the team you don't actually need to bring them to the fight. I was screwing around with Ish solo and despite only bringing her to the fight Hong Lu and Sinclair were still giving their bonus.
Okay, I know I mentioned this before, but the mudflats could be comparable to the river Thames in the Victorian era since you mentioned England (for context, if my memory serves me right, the river used to be so polluted it was close to opaque, literally colored from black to sickly green with whatever the lord above knows what was from the sewers, it’s a miracle it’s gotten better if I recall)
Sincerely i am fine also with comedic events like hell's chicken, but i think it's pretty nice to see something like magical hell bus. Also because the event name does everything to make you think this will be just a summer event and instead no, ishmael paranoia galore. Agree on how this makes you hyped for chapter 5. I did like chapter 4 don't get me wrong, but at the start it was just like "uhm ok. It is about yi sang let's see" and only after it became my favorite chapter when i read it and saw yi sang's, dongrang's and dongbaek's stories. Instead here i already have a lot of questions: details about U corp and its singularity, i mean also it's a nest separated by water, who the fuck is "that bastard" (probably ahab ik but i mean his role in PMverse) and what did he do, what is there in that lake to make ishmael so traumatized? Is the whale so dangerous as she says? And also her reaction to when we got in the district. The other times the other sinners would just say stuff like "oh no...this place", make you curious and that's it. Here i'm DYING of curiosity, i can feel how ishmael is DEVASTATED that she's returning to U corp, and her sounding like a zombie, her suddenly saying random things about "that bastard" when they mention U corp singularity, her empty face when they are playing volleyball and that unhinged face when she almost beat heathcliff to death and make you think "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON???!!". Also that FLASHBACK DANTE SEES. OH MY GOD. Ishmael is my favorite sinner so i was already looking forwards to the chapter, now i want it already to be october. Ishmael basically is known for being the "normal one for pm standard", but i was always curious about her backstory, about the ship and that bastard, and how i felt that behind that "her being normal" hid a great sense of emptiness and coping towards something that makes her afraid and now we gonna know (i mean the chapter is called like "The Evil Defined". I am curious) After that, i finish my TEDex talk. Bye
Event so easy and not as grindy that I timed myself going from 0-4000. It only took ~4-5 hours... Just binge watch something while pressing winrate, problem solved.
@@LaurentinaEilhart You'd be happy to know that I muted the game music while I was doing Railway Refraction and played that exact song instead lol, it's such a good boss track
Felt much the same about this event, but one thing I really liked was that you didn’t need to fight with the event IDs to gain bonus just have them equipped the bench. No wasted thread on a 2 star to make it good, not having to baby a wasted unit slot and I can make a team with whoever I want.
Summary: Funny Event that's hella grindy but also decent than the other events and half missions for prequels of other big missions in the game. And very rewarding for your grind, until you reach like 2k Scrap where it gets depressing but the rewards are sort of okay. ( Help me I am stuck grinding, they locked me in a cage and I can't stop I am addicted. )
I hope we get to see some other LoR characters later down the line. Xiao and Lowell, for example. Cane Office trio would be fun to see as well. And... Uhhh... Finishing off Philipp would be a nice experience.
5:14 reminder, pretty sure the hell's chicken event rewards will also be permanently exchangeable when season 3 begins, and Magic Hell Bus' will be available with season 4, so calling them "limited time rewards" and hating them for that is kinda unfair imo
It is a better event, but it's still far from ideal. The farming, as always, sucks. What is the point? Of pressing auto-win, again, and again, and again... I would rather fight 10 VERY hard fights instead of... Auto-win simulator. At least make the fights just a little difficult, repeating the same stage dozens of times is... Just annoying. Now ignoring the gameplay-side, the story is just amazing, not only we can hype the appearence of many more people, or at least cope about it. But there is finally a real threat, like you can't even begin to compare with the other chapters, that freakin eye was bigger than the whole ship, imagine the rest, I know that is not an abno, but maybe we finally get the WAW level stuff? I can't see a bunch of HE or lower people dealing with whatever is that creature, we need more firepower!
The chicken event was more of a comedic detour rather than this event which was more of a prologue to the actual chapter.
they majorly decreased the farming by making it into a 3 phase battle instead of an entire dungeon (no more -45 sanity irl)

I am curious)
After that, i finish my TEDex talk. Bye
You I thought Ishmael's story was gonna be outside The City or something, because WHAT THE HELL IS A GIANT WHALE DOING INSIDE A CITY?
The city is bigger than a continent so it's whatever lol
@@DinoDave935 Still, how did it get there in the first place? I guess we'll find that out later
@@Nellandit's the goddamn city, cant explain more
What if the Section’s Leader keeps it like how Villains have a shark tank?
4:50 What the fuck.
I was watching One Piece :3
H...How did you--it's only been YESTERDAY??!!
Event so easy and not as grindy that I timed myself going from 0-4000. It only took ~4-5 hours...
Just binge watch something while pressing winrate, problem solved.
Beach volleybaurr
When I saw the beach volleybruh in the trailer, I did hope for them to split into teams and do some dumb stuffs like what they did in chapter 3.5.
beach voleyball
Do you think if i clean crabs very thoroughly it pass able for a human consumption. Sorry what are we talking about again?
Okay i wasn't expecting that blue dragon ost bb dino oh my~
Oh my goodness I wasn't expecting anyone to mention it.

@@DinoDave935 "The seal is broken" lives in my mind since 2006, so ofc I will now about this Little gem
( Help me I am stuck grinding, they locked me in a cage and I can't stop I am addicted. )
But GOD, do the Heath-mael fans eat good today.
fish activities!! ! ! !

I hope we get to see some other LoR characters later down the line.
Xiao and Lowell, for example. Cane Office trio would be fun to see as well.
And... Uhhh... Finishing off Philipp would be a nice experience.
Phillip is dead though. The whole ensemble is.
phillip is dead dawg
@@funninoriginal6054 I wanna do it AGAIN.

ngl Ishmael's hair and chest seems to fluctuate like my GPA
Wait, you also like Heathcliff?
*waves her #1 Heathcliff fan flag*
5:14 reminder, pretty sure the hell's chicken event rewards will also be permanently exchangeable when season 3 begins, and Magic Hell Bus' will be available with season 4, so calling them "limited time rewards" and hating them for that is kinda unfair imo
I hope they bring back Dawn and Wedge Office
Wich one is better, new Ishmael event ID or Ryo event ID?
Ishy fishy, since Pierre will always be Ryoshu's best ID
@@DinoDave935 So Ishmael is a little better but the chef is still good since its Ryo's best ID Got it thanks mate!
@@nowaif9144 Plus Ishmael's best paired with Yi-Sang's Spicebush for the Sinking Deluge.
What a remarkable amount of restraint in your title.
Gotta agree on the farming, I’d love to bump the challenge to Hard Mirror dungeon level to get faster farm.
