    What do you guys think of the below? I got a different idea on the general trend.
    The table illustrates information on underground train systems in London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington D.C., Kyoto and Los Angeles. Figures show the number of kilometres, year that it was opened and total annual passengers in millions.
    Overall, underground railway systems that were built before the 1950’s carry more passengers and run longer routes compared to train systems established after the mid 20th century.
    Pertaining to the London, Paris and Tokyo rail systems, their commuters collectively make up to about a whopping four billion annually with Tokyo alone serving 1928 billion passengers. The tube and rail system for London runs at a great distance of 394 kilometres followed by Paris and Tokyo at 199 kilometres and 155 kilometres respectively.
    As for Washington D.C., Kyoto and Los Angeles, these newer train rails carry a combined total of almost 250 million a year paling in comparison to that of the older train systems. The city of Washington D.C. runs up to 126 kilometres in route while Kyoto and Los Angeles are even shorter at less than 40 kilometres combined.

    not sure if 20 minutes is actually enough to write all of this info. Especially when it takes 2-3 minutes to analyze the data alone let along make notes about it. Really appreciate this approach though makes the concept very easy to grasp.

    The table provided compares the collected data about train stations in six vital cities, regarding the opening date, the distance by kilometres, and the annual passenger numbers in millions. Old train stations which were established before the year 1950, were faster than trains built afterwards. As a result, the number of people using old trains is considerably higher than those using newly established trains. Regarding the London railway station, although it was opened in 1863, its underground train travels 349 kilometres per hour, which is the longest distance any train travels in comparison with the other stations. On the other hand, Tokyo railway station which was opened after London station in the year 1927, aside from being slower than the London train, with only 155 kilometres, it transports the highest number of travellers with 1928 million, exceeding the number of London train passengers which is only 775 million people. Concerning new railway stations, Kyoto train station has the slowest railway train, which only travels 11 km per hour, with only 45 million users per year. The case is similar for Los Angeles station which was built in the year 2001, and its train only travels 28 kilometres per hour, even though it is faster than the Kyoto train, but it only has five million more passengers than Kyoto station

  • @aakashdk3667
    @aakashdk3667 4 года назад +1

    For the 2nd one, as all the information given are in past, only simple past or past perfect should be used. But in this video you've used few present perfect words. Isn't that wrong ?

    • @BestMyTest
      @BestMyTest  4 года назад

      Thanks for this question! From the prompt, we can assume that these underground railway systems still exist in the present. This is why the present tense is used when explaining how many route kilometers and passengers they have: because they still exist. Then, the simple past tense is correctly used when referring to the exact date that each railroad was opened because it is a specific moment in the past. Keep in mind that this prompt is not asking you to describe something that happened before something else (which is when the Past Perfect would be used) -- we are just describing the specific past dates of each railroad station's opening and making relevant comparisons. Hope this answers your question!
