Fun game mode! A couple of ideas sprung to mind watching this. For example if you have 5 races and at least 10 runners. The top 8 winners of the first race will continue onto the next, then the top 6 runners will continue (this is not counting the people that die on the way to the finish line). Another idea is to have a marathon type of game mode, where the runners start at lets say the airport and have to get to the observatory.
Watch this with a new head canon, This is exactly how judgement day started in Terminator if you read through the T2 books. skynet takes control of in built AI modules built into modern vehicles. traffic looks exactly like this.
Not bad...not bad at all for a mode based on Decimate Drive!! I would have chosen a different area on the map as ahere This was set up, More than HALF the mode Are is INACCESSIBLE to the cars. Runners have the Map Advantage. The Neighborhood's around The WATER HOUSES and FRANKLIN'S AUNTS House are FAR BETTER Suited for This Game Mode as its Far More Balanced for Cars to Get at the Runners. I would AVOID places like the BINCIDENT as they are Too CLUTTERED for vehicles to be Effective Hunters or a Threat. And Thats the KEY to what makes Decimate Drive SCARY...theres Far More OPEN AREAS to traverse where Runners MUST Use what Environmental Assets are There to Avoid being Hit. In Decimate Drive, there are very FEW Bruned Out wrecks and ADDED Obstackes to that games Maps. Its the Environment and its Structures that Offer Runner SCANT COVER. MEANING...Standard GTA map Dressing is More than Sufficient. Its the SNOW that adds the Slip Sliding factor And you Have SNOW as an Option for Gta. In Decimate Drive you Cannot Climb Up o to Buildings but you Can go Through Ground Level Passage ways, Paths and buildings but the Map should have Very FEW spots where Cars Cannot Get to the Runners. Oh, you NEEDED LAPS for this to work Properly because by the time the Runners That FO get Caught Die and come Back in this Simple Start to Finish Race is OVER by the time the Hunters get to their Cars and Join in the Hunt. So LAPS are Needed and Another reason Why i suggested the Areas i did, they're More Suburbs than the Rural Areas of the Los Santos Map. I GET why the area was Chosen, with the chruch and some of the stores and alleys, it Kinda Has that Decimate Drive Look for a few areas...they Just Don't WORK for the Game Mode. Terribly Good FUN Nonetheless, just needs Balancing to work better and make Hunter Cars MORE of an Actual THREAT which At the Moment, they're really Not. Still as a PROTOTYPE Game Mode Map, Not Bad at all.
When I had made the checkpoints more accessible, everyone was killed within 3 checkpoints. There's definitely a balance, and there's only so much testing that can be done as to what it actually is. This was as good as it could get so far. And as everyone was killed in the final round, says that it was roughly correct I added the wrecks because I wanted it to make GTA5 look a little different than it usually did and I needed some different obstacles for visual interest. That was my choice. I wasn't trying to replicate DD Sadly you can't have both snow and the sort of dark sky effect that I chose to use, I don't think laps really work. Imo, I don't think you want to have the races be much longer than this. Running on controller is very annoying lol
@@longbowxmkii this looks super fun. i've always been more of a creator than a player. if i were to make some courses for this gamemode, would you guys use them? my mind is already filling up with some great location ideas and custom obstacles of risk vs reward
Fun to watch, though really miss when you did a round on the opposite side like you used to. The change to spectating instead of being in the car or the ramp car or whatever the race/survival event vehicle was is kind of disappointing. It was neat to see how hard it was (or wasn't) from the other perspective and gave a better idea of how it played out for both sides. I'm limited to seeing it from the other perspective only when Amy participates and records.
Yes this! When he got into the helicopter I stopped watching, I wanted to see the view from a chaser/hunter not a perspective from someone who can't fly a helicopter.
New idea. Everyone on bmx bikes with one person hunting them down in a car as they go from checkpoint to checkpoint. If the car knocks you off the bike they can get out and chase you down with a bat. If you die you get in a car and join as a hunter.
In hindsight, a flashing glowing neon onesie MAY have not been the best attire in the dark...😂
