A haunting and stunning piece of music, loved it first time i heard it and have been trying to purchase it on cd for years.I get shivers down my spine when i play it.
I saw this movie for the first time today and it's one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen and this soundtrack is very special to me and I very like to listen to it.
Flatliners is a surprisingly fine film. For one, it was perfectly cast, with an excellent screenplay, and another James Newton-Howard display of brilliance in his haunting score. And what could have been a simple horror/thriller story turns out to be a movie that really makes the viewer think of the power and importance of forgiveness, not only from the victim, but also the perpetrator. It's a glorious film. When Julia Robert's character finally finds closure, it's absolutely beautiful and exhilarating. If you know of anyone from whom you need to ask forgiveness, or if there is someone you need to forgive, I implore you to do so. You'll never feel more free.
The finest flick to dramatize the touchy subject of Redemption without uttering a single word of preachy dialogue. I cry every time I watch it....It's THAT good!

Robyn, Amen. It is an amazing movie. Whenever I watch it, I'm always reminded of the importance of forgiveness. It would be interesting to see if it was the writer and director's actual intent to reach into the heart of the viewers to help them explore the possibility of any non-forgiveness in their lives.

I have tried looking for this soundtrack for the longest time. I don't see it anywhere for purchase. I'd like to get it on amazon.com , but apparently it's not available there. I don't have any PayPal account(s) & I don't want one either , & I only use a reloadable money card. I guess I'm screwed.
Rickon Guylon Thanks Rickon , but I prefer CD's. The real deal. Downloads are nothing but copies of recorded music from another source. Besides , it costs money to download MP3's. Thanks for the advice & comment though. I am more of a CD person than an MP3 & or download person. The quality of bootleg stuff doesn't sound as good as the original official CD bought in stores does. Thanks again.

Your comment you made saying that it never came out on CD is not true. It was on CD once upon a time, but now may be out of print, at best, or at least but it was out on CD before a long time ago.

Google Guy Never came out on CD. I think reuse fees were the culprit, as is often the case.
