yes ! I kind of hope that they expands their team with one more person so that they can keep up the pace and quality without getting completely drained for energy!!
I don't think they should give all their views to Hoonigan. Keep it for their own channel. Hoonigan seems to be all about wrecking stuff and showing off how much money they can spend on things. They are a totally different channel. I like this channel a lot more so far, since they aren't about money, they are all about saving money.
@@Ritalie if you had enough money to do what they did you probably would do it. And if you actually followed the hoonigans you would see that most of their projects are on the cheaper side.
It's mainly eat that destroy them. If there's no proper ventilation and the pulleys are slightly misaligned, the belt will explode in the first 100 miles.
@Kris K Please dont believe everything you hear on the internet. These guys are most likely paid to promote that company. I've tried different brands on my sleds and read a lot on forums. There is no brand that is much better than the other and a lot of times, the OEM comes on top.
Ya but you get to build up a relationship with the build and its a lot more satisfying when its done after a lot of vids and work. But I think they do a very good job at comin thru
Nice work! Dude you guys finally got a metal lathe! They are definitely a game changer, I bought mine a few years ago, it’s really nice to have one. Next shop tool you guys definitely need is a milling machine. Take care
Please remember to add a couple driveshaft loops. DIY is cool but with that setup I'd be seriously worried about your leg experiencing sudden unintentional disassembly.
These guys are expert fabricators. I am confident their welds wouldn't break off. But that old drive shaft could explode from the power of the gear reduction and torque converter and 200 hp motor.. Maybe an entirely new driveline and rear axle would be the next project. I hope they do a series on this car.
Snag a 3cyl kubota reefer engine, cheap and plentiful and makes 75-100hp. Thanks to California, there are literally tens of thousands of these engines that have to be replaced even though they are functional and plenty of life left in them because they don't meet new emissions schemes
That is the cleanest I've ever seen the garage :). You can tell this is a special project if they took the time to clean and make room for everything! Looks great guys.
I rarely comment on people’s videos but you two have inspired me to get back into fabricating and building things. Simply fantastic work and editing. Cheers to many more years and projects!!
You have the best build channel. From your B roll to the editing. Other channels I sometimes get bored. Not one boring minute from all your videos. Keep up the amazing work!
H8 2B "That guy" But PLEASE guys put the guard on the angle grinder, i know it's a hassle but if that disc goes we're really talking about the possibillity of a bad day and possibly also the last. Love your videos! Great McGyvering and fantastic editing.
This project is insane guys !!! All the transmission work is very cool to watch... I'm currently making my own version of the Barbie Jeep with a 10KW electric motor... Insane torque you'll see ;)
ya, that rear diff will pop first application of anything but idle, but you know you have to do it. good thing you are skilled fabricators, fitting a new rear end should go smoothly.
jimb0jam yeah man the first shop I worked and had a lathe and my shop foreman told me so many horror stories of people getting pulled into them and getting there inter arms ripped off because they’re wearing a jacket or even just a pair of loose fitting gloves
engineer: "but if we make the tunnel out of cardboard it'll disintegrate if they drive in the rain?!" ceo: "who would be foolish enough to drive one of our cars in the rain HAHAHAHA"
The music is always so groovy and fitting to whatever is being shown. Your editing skills are amazing and keep getting better with every video. Keep up the great work!
So good! Also, I've had great luck cleaning and coating rusted fuel tanks with POR-15. Im sure you've got some good plans for a tank, but couldn't help saying something when I saw the tank chucked in the scrap pile 👍👍
You guys gotta give Sam some more screen time to show off his skills. But LOVING how fast this build is already coming together! WOW she is going to be so friken fun!
Man I’ve so been looking forward to seeing this build progress to this point, it’s always a pleasure to see your videos and of course the new additions to the workshop.
I own a 1948 atlas QC42. With the 1 piece headstock bearing yours is probably 1950's . If it has the original headstock bearings they were hand engraved on the outer race with the month / year. Awesome machine man!
brother, I love you, thank you very much for having the Spanish subtitles, how good it is to be able to watch your videos, enjoy and know what the hell they are talking about. I am from Argentina
it may have already come up, but now that you have that shaft fabbed, bringing/sending it to a driveline shop to have it made from a single piece might come in handy. great stuff as usual.
I can’t click on your stuff fast enough. Whenever I can’t watch as soon as I get the notification, I look forward to getting to. Keep it up Ethan and Edwin ❤️
Cool project, just a thought be careful of the rear wheels with the standard rear suspension, you can have the rear wheel “tuck under” on extreme cornering and speed. You can add a chain to stop this happening, look it up or lift the car up and see what happens. This can cause the car to roll! Just trying to help. Keep up the good work. 👍
You continue to impress!! Great vid, great skills and great imagination. You guys have what it takes to keep an audience interested. I'm a journeyman HET and machinist and I can relate and appreciate whats happening in your builds. Great work is all I can say!! Keep it up!
For an alternate way of shaft mod. try facing, beveling, drill and tapping both ends of the shafts , installing and small length of "ready rod " (all thread) and tighten before welding. I've had good results using grade 8 ready rod fine thread. Enjoyed your channel Immensely !! Keep up the GREAT Work!
I'd like to point out that the rear suspension setup on a spitfire will tend to "tuck" the rear wheels when cornering. Do not attempt to drift this you will have a roll over event. I suggest a roll over bar of some discription before you try anything at speed. otherwise I so excited to be watching this!
Make sure to upgrade the differential. I had one with a 4AGE at around 100whp. The ujoints are small enough they didn't last long and the diffs aren't known for lasting under hard use.
Good work boys coming along nicely .I use b.a.d beer aided design ,100% accurate untill u sober up and realise u welded ya boot to ya fridge door or glued ya hat to ya dog .good times hope it hauls cheers

Now it's springtime 2022 and it's great to see all the stuff you have produced on that leave so far And you guys have come such a long way since you brought the Barbie car and the go cart chassie home to build it
I really enjoyed the music at the beginning of the video for a change. Thanks for thinking of us old farts for at least part of the video. That triumph is going to rip.
Hey, you should totally do clips where you have like "the item we just made" or "this cool item that is currently very important" like the gauge cluster on a slowly rotating tabletop and it's a very clean fancy shot of the thing, with the music in the background. Would be gorgeous + add to video aesthetic + production quality. Like how the jewelry channels on TV used to do O:
You guys deliver... thats what seperates you from other youtubers.... that and your welding and overall craftsmanship skills
And they build actually functional projects. Unlike 212 predator crap.

And the editing is sooooooo good
skylar peppler exactly what I’m saying
I would very much agree with all of you!
The single most unique, off the wall build I've seen up to this point. Well done boys, good stuff.
Yep. The Venn Diagram overlap is infinitesimal. A snow globe filled with snow globes.
Rad.
Surprisingly simple too
When I watch other videos I skip through the boring stuff. With your videos I never skip keep up the good work I watch every video ♥️

I actually reduce the playback speed to .5 during the short cut scenes so I can see the stuff they're doing at fast speed.
They are the best on the site m
I skip through the "Todays Sponsor"

Awesome!!!! This poor Triumph is gonna get a rude awaking when it wakes up from it's nap... Gonna be ROWDY!!
Should def take it to hoonigan and shred it in the burnyard once it’s done, they’d definitely have you on their show.👍👍
A diff oil change will be a bit problematic then. 😅

Its a cvt. They have a tendency to wear out quickly.
It's mainly eat that destroy them. If there's no proper ventilation and the pulleys are slightly misaligned, the belt will explode in the first 100 miles.
I agree! I'm a big guy and my sled is aligned perfectly but because my sled is 240hp and I'm so heavy it absolutly eats belts.

Way too short.

Agreed

Same with the clutch guard. I don't know if you ever seen what a belt turning at 8.5k rpm can do when it explode, but it's not pretty.
Maybe just rework the old cardboard tunnel? Some extra sticky-tape and some staples? :)
@@MrArcticPOWER - Good point. Hadn't even thought of that. It's a pretty beefy belt so lots of mass to whip around.

For the Next power wheels build a mini Diesel truck
RB26SNO ye take the engine out of the mahindra mini jeep (inline 4 turbo diesel with a 5-speed manual trans)
Hell yes...

ur tryin 2 tell me a 3cyl turbo yanmar or jd/ etc in a yamaha rhino? i think they made them factory but not with that big of an engine

you know that the triumph gearbox isn't going to take the extra power , but have you also considered the flimsy differential fitted to this antique ?.
ya, that rear diff will pop first application of anything but idle, but you know you have to do it. good thing you are skilled fabricators, fitting a new rear end should go smoothly.
v8 swaps are fairly common for these cars so it should be fine
@@MakerOfBeasts anyone who v8 swaps these cars should be ashamed
I think they're going for a Miata rear end.

Best RUclips channel right here.
I love this channel because they are not just another RUclips channel. They deliver excellence and make every video a great video.
Nice to hear some background music I haven't heard in 100 other videos. Great job guys! Can't wait to see what you get done next week!
Honestly who the hell could dislike anything from this channel!?!?!?
O.M.G. I think I'm in love with that steel cutter. I wish I had a shop with the tools that you do brother. Keep up the good work.
Don’t mean to sound like a jerk or anything but please don’t wear loose fitting clothing around a lathe it can seriously mess you up
