Thanks for the recommendations! i only own the Wm. Tyler (so excellent - congrats!), Procol Harum, and of course the brilliant, chilling, amazing Roberta Flack. Great picks.
Ted Templeman was in Harper's Bizarre (119th St. Bridge Song (feeling groovy) and produced Van Halen. And I was just listening to that Captain Beefhart song over the weekend, Too Much Time
Templeman produced the first two Montrose albums, but wasn’t in the band. He also produced several Doobie Brothers albums, both before and after Micheal MacDonald joined. One more Templeman production... Little Feat’s Time Loves a Hero.
That Dion Album _Born To Be With You_ is criminally underrated. It’s sooo powerful and so beautiful. I can’t recommend it enough. Everyone should own that Album, as well as the Collections: Bronx Blues, Complete Laurie Singles Collections, and/or The Retrospective. His live album Live at The Bitter End is also fantastic.
Ted Templeton wasn't in Montrose, he was in Heatwave. He also wrote Heatwave's biggest hits. The biggest hit he wrote was Michael Jackson's "Thriller".
Honestly I don’t know him or Dawes either but that’s what I love about this series...if I relate to their picks I typically like them as an artist. Have discovered many albums from the hosts themselves as well as their recommendations. Thanks amoeba another great episode! Love Ramsey Lewis trio! My grandfather turned me on to them through me finding them after he passed in my grandmas basement, thanks papap
I was on a session with William Tyler back in January 2019, in Brooklyn. What a chill dude, and a damn genius on the keys.
Would loved to have the rest of the guys on this.
The Colours Of Chloë is one of my favorite albums on ECM. Great episode!
This guy loves his classics.

Just heard the name Ted Templeman in all the Eddie Van Halen tributes today -- R.I.P. Eddie

check out Later That Evening by Eberhard Weber. Fantastic record!
Eberhard Weber!! Our local library has that record.
Dude knows his shit
Was waiting for him to mention the copy of Society of Spectacle that is on his desk
Chapter Two is great, First Take is sublime. Weber, nice, one of his best!
Hi Griffin!
The first Montrose album PRODUCED by TT is the single most exciting rock album ever made.
Ted Templeton wasn't in Montrose, he was in Heatwave. He also wrote Heatwave's biggest hits.
The biggest hit he wrote was Michael Jackson's "Thriller".
He's talking about Ted Templeman, you're talking about Rod Temperton.
Wearing an old wrinkled stretched out neck hole t-shirt was funny af! Good one!
damn, put that DIon on blast. gotta save some of the deepcuts for private
What is the vinyl he’s playing in the background
It's the very last thing he talks about: The Ramsey Lewis Trio "Another Voyage"
I can’t believe this kid knows about Montrose!
But Ted wasn't a member. He was their producer
That toothpick!!! Hilarious

Yes, if Stevie Wonder was married to the woman that means that she was his wife.
👍
who ?
Damn dude. Take better care of your records. Shit.
I’m guessing it’s meth?
Nice picks but I wouldn't call these records "really heavy shit" like he does. But then again maybe he has never heard metal music.
i’m sure that’s not what he means when he says really heavy shit
That's a L
There's nothing good in his picks FOR ME (off course) probably Captain and Procol is ok
Btw who is this guy?
Dawes... You guys act like what's in your bag only features top 40 acts.
Justin Ward: probably a weird Q... are you in SF?

My commentary was...
Just...
Not Ok, to be fair.
I really sorry about that.
