Monday afternoon around 2:30 pm my teenage son spent more than 5 minutes dialling 911 for his brother experiencing cardiac issues. He kept getting a busy signal. When he finally got through, he was able to contact me, I called my office for coverage, drove home from work, gathered up my son’s meds, clothes, water, food, charging cord, etc before the ambulance showed up. Once we got to the hospital, there was no space or available staff, so as each paramedic shift finished, we were passed on to a new team, over and over again. I’ve never seen things this bad in the past 5 years since my son got sick! At one point, I looked down the hallway where we were crammed like sardines and counted at least 18 paramedics tending to patients because there was no one else available. They were out of heart monitors and oxygen tanks. This is so unacceptable…all of the suffering I saw! You hear about it, but to actually go through it…we all deserve better care than this! Our government is jeopardizing people’s lives to save a buck! We should all be very concerned! Every one of us could need emergency care at any time and should not have to endure this nightmare!

"Send more money to Ukraine to keep the blood flowing, disregard the struggling
Canadians living paycheck to paycheck, crumbling infrastructure, homelessness,
skyrocketing crime wave, and drug-infested communities". ~ Canadian politicians."

@@mstar7520 well it does, Our Politicians have turned a blind eye to Canada but they are focused on the war in Ukraine. Zelensky just got another $650 million package to keep the war going.

CP24 TEAM: Pls know: it is not a "bed" shortage. It is a "staffing" shortage. i.e., no staff to care for patients.
