Love the Aussie tradition of taking a little time out to have dinner with the family each night during harvesting. Not only does it allow the family to come together, the kids are seeing and learning what it takes to be a farmer. They’re seeing the love and passion their parents and grandparents have for the land. RIDER-All Dads love dinner time with family, however are secretly just wanting to get into the machines to get it done!
I had to stop part way through. MATT , you are doing an excellent job and service for us as a community and faithful follower. Especially with the drone footage and editing. That takes a lot of time. Been with you since the beginning. Keep up the amazing work. God Bless you, the family and farm I never miss an upload. Good day mate.
Geez you boys have got some heap of kids there, you better start buying out the neighbours soon or you will run out of farm for them all. 😁. More great drone shots Matt
My wife brought my lunch to the field for many years of sugar cane harvest. It was at times the only time I could see the children during a 5 month long harvest. I would leave in the morning before they woke up and arrive home after they had gone to bed. They were great memories for all of us.
Really glad to hear that you are finished your harvest with out loosing any to rain. It has always been devastating to me to see crops rotting and going mouldy in the paddock. Growing up on a mixed farming block on the western downs I appreciate the blood sweat an tears that go into the land.
Great sun set drone images of the headers side by side around the contour.. and what cute kids.. must be quite neat after a day in the paddock and knowing there's a night shift, to see all the family for a paddock dinner.. Lovely
I have to say during harvest time we farmers put in a lot of time but Stopping and eating with the family is worth more than harvesting it helps get your head out of the hub bub a lets you clear your mind. Priceless
Night shift very good quality it’s different I like lots of action ,but the sad thing it will all come to an end ,,and the cycle starts all over again ….So I guess you all have a bit of a break ,and it starts again …Nice vide be safe at nights cheers ❤️🙏👍💰✝️
Stunning video with the drone Matt and music and the sun set. Thank you, calendar photo material if you decide to do a calendar one day with the two combines side by side.
Hey Matt that word you were looking for would be a mob i think, as in a mob of Jackson's even though youse aren't sheep farmer's, great drone shots again
Fantastic idea having a tea break with everyone getting together for a that and most importantly having family time due to long hours your putting in getting harvest home
Another great update guys. Lovely sunset 🌇 and great drone footage too as usual Matt. Thanks for sharing guys. Thanks for sharing guys 👍. PS. I hope that youse are going to get all of your harvest in before this rain coming from tomorrow onwards
MATT great video as usual, I assume going by FB that you have finished or very close. Weather permitting. The overhead of the 2 headers was spectacular.🤩🤩 Cheers 🍻🍻🍻
Brad, interested why you crop over all the contours? Would it not be better for erosion protection to have them grassed? Is it because there are so many or that would cut the paddocks into to many small areas?
Broad based roll over banks are designed to be farmed over. It won’t wash as the fall is 1% or less. The water doesn’t move quickly enough to do damage at that fall.
Great idea you all get together at the meal time. Good for the kids too. Top drone footage Matt. It probably won’t seem like long and the kids will be wanting to drive the truck. Fork looks good. Well done Team Jackson.
Love that you guys can stop for a quick dinner and catch up with the fam during harvest

Maybe a cooking episode is on the cards
“What to cook the farmers during harvest”

Thanks from Minnesota. Harvest is done here, snow on the ground and lakes are frozen. Time to go ice fishing and watch videos in the fish house!

Matt, you and your family (extended and nuclear) live in beautiful country, be safe and Cheers from South Carolina, USA!
We would stop for dinner and supper, like you say it keeps you all informed on what's going on and what to do next
My, now grown kids, still speak fondly of our harvest meal times. Great memories.
So nice to see your family for a few minutes before they go to be.
Awesome. Love it, keep up the great work.
Family time is the most valuable time.

Enjoy your time with the wee ones, it will seem very short looking back
The little V8 Catastrophe sounds good. It must be one of the last ones still going.
Always enjoy watching Matt

MATT great video as usual, I assume going by FB that you have finished or very close. Weather permitting. The overhead of the 2 headers was spectacular.🤩🤩 Cheers 🍻🍻🍻
Finished our own yesterday, currently helping neighbour get some chickpeas off before the rain👍
Hey so when you guys build a convots or water way are yous trying to save the water or get rig of big Gullys
Mainly trying to slow the water flowing and stop it cutting out across the paddock, not uncommon for us to get 4-6 inches of rain very quickly😁
Steptoe & Son 😂
So you had 4 of 5 in the truck with you, when do we get to meet #5, the new addition?
Can’t beat Japanese quality
Brad, interested why you crop over all the contours? Would it not be better for erosion protection to have them grassed? Is it because there are so many or that would cut the paddocks into to many small areas?
With grass can come weeds.
It’s easier to farm over and good stubble cover goes a long way to preventing erosion👍

I love the drone footage. The wireless camera looks like a game-changer to me, too. I love it when technology makes a job easier.
Have you guys got a link for the camera?
I didn’t want to link anything in case it is dodgy but look on eBay for - Wireless Solar Magnetic Reverse Backup Camera + 7" Monitor DVR
I reckon New Holland owes you a couple of headers for that sunset drone work 👏🏻
Wouldn’t that be nice😂
Affiliate link to the camera. Was the screen included?
Look on eBay for - Wireless Solar Magnetic Reverse Backup Camera + 7" Monitor DVR I don’t want to link anything in case it’s dodgy😁
What brand is the camera please and mode?
Just a cheap one of eBay, not sure of brand but search for - Digital Wireless Solar Backup Camera Magnetic Base with 7 Inch DVR Car Monitor
