Korok Forest - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom Piano Cover

- I took notes from the most recent poll and pushed this theme out first! What a fun cover to play from the new game Tears of the Kingdom (and Breath of the Wild). I start off the cover being bright and bouncy, and then the second time through I play it in a more calm and peaceful setting, as if it were night. The night OST is slightly slower and in a different key , but I was okay with what I played. It's a much more smooth transition. I even put a hint of TotK's Korok Forest's gloom theme in there somewhere:)
Thanks for being patient with me, I have a lot going on right now, including playing and doing research in TotK ;) I'm holding off on doing any spoiler covers for the time being; I have already been spoiled from other covers on RUclips ironically.

Dang spot on! Forgot how cool some of these harmony changes were. Easy to miss in game, but hard to ignore when played like this by itself! Bravo
Also love how botw/totk managed to create a track reminiscent of the old Kokiri forest/Lost Wood's theme while creating it whole own vibe, fitting for its own game's atmosphere. 10/10
My thoughts exactly, I was intrigued and captivated by the harmonies and how they work so well! There is even a split third in one of the chords. A lot of the soundtrack is like that and I’m excited to tackle it and learn from some master composers.

It’s amazing 🥲 kinda glad I didn’t replay BotW right before TotK came out, it’s fun to explore memories from 6 years ago albeit with some fascinating differences.

@@emanueldosanjosvitoria6421 it’s not on my mind. You think I should upgrade though, but my current Yamaha serves its purpose well. Plus it used to be Erik C Piano Man’s piano, I bought it off of him! So it’s a little sentimental.

Also, I read your description. What would be bad about covering "spoiler" totk songs? The titles of the songs themself?
You got it! The gloom Korok theme builds off that little run kinda like what I did at 2:31. And yeah, the titles give some stuff away. But I’m also not following the storyline either, I have 40+ shrines and still haven’t been to any dungeon 😂
Looking at your Battle vs Erik playlist I would have to say that you can hear a distinct style between them. It could be the way the piano sounds though.
Erik has a high level of complication to a lot of his covers and it he seems to often make the original sound fuller and more epic. He takes the base song and is able to add a massive layer of complication even with the piano. It's always great to listen to. I would say that Erik seems to do a great job placing songs in new styles all together as well.
In your songs it has a simpler style to it when compared to all of Eriks covers but I feel like you sometimes do a better job of making the original piece feel better with it's simplicities. It's like you are not always going THAT drastically overboard and instead, just putting a nice stylized taste to the songs with some added flourish, taking the best part of songs and making it sound crisp. You do a great job placing songs where they are but in a way that brings out the best parts of the original, if that makes sense.
All this being said, it is REALLY hard to know who "won" since often they are played in different styles and it's hard to compare. What do you think of your style vs his? Do you see any of the things I have seen or am I just crazy
