First of all thank you for the props on the valve stem. Second, you covered quite a bit. Note to all, beginners and seasoned off roaders. Watch and learn from this video. You can never be too prepared as you may think. I watched the whole video to see if I can learn something from the man. In the off-road community we are all together in a time of need. I kind of now know what tools Dirtnation carries so I can either bum, or offer tools to help when help is needed. It is important that we all band together to help each other. Being broke down, stranded, and unable to continue is a miserable feeling. In the past, I saw a DN video clip where I could have helped but didn’t know they needed the help that I could have provided that day. I kind of recall but I could be wrong. On that day there was fires and everyone was escorted out of the lower restroom gate. The rig had debeaded tires, and no jack or air readily available. I still think about it. Great job Dirtnation!
@@66Duffman I have been an offroader for years but never really a hardcore offroader/rock crawler. Just one simple thing as an example. I was on a solo trip heading east off of Hwy 395 around the south end of Mono Lake. Panum crater. These marked forest service roads leading off the pavement up into a a spare pine forest. It was lunch time, so I picked one and started driving up it. 1/4 mile later I was in trouble. The ground was this superfine volcanic ash. I got out of the packed tire tracks and was instantly stuck, The crap was bottomless. Far enough off the main road where nobody would ever see me, zero cell coverage, I had a shovel, so I dug. Then walked around for a couple of hours scrounging dead pine tree branches. Finally aired my tires down to about 12 PSI and was able to back out onto the hardpack. Reversed all the way back out to the pavement. Aired up, then smoked a bowl.
Hey Dustin, great video but you forgot to mention medical supplies; medical supplies are extremely important; recently i added a Defibrillator to my recovery gear.
I also carry radiator stop leak and all fluids that my vehicle uses. And definitely a first aid kit. Sometimes I will throw in an assortment of bolts as well. And for the hammers take everything!
The only reason to carry SAE tools is if they wheel an older rig (late 1980s and earlier) or if they have modifications that use SAE. Otherwise, carry metric or a combo set. Some SAE can be used on metric sizes because they are close.
I know you said valve stems but I always bring valve cores cuz somebody's going to be airing down and going to drop a valve core in the snow or something and lose it or it's going to shoot out and get lost.
Shit tickets!! 😆 and water. Good video man. Start off with the basics and build from there. But it all depends how hard you go! Then you'll know and knowing is half the battle ! GI joe! 😅
Could you possibly link all the items in the video in a comment? I would love to check out the exact stuff you use but I didnt see any links in the description
Some of the best ropes are made by Yankum Ropes in Idaho. Made in USA. I personally use Freedom Ropes which are also Made in USA in Ventura, California.
All great tips, I would add downloaded navigation or physical maps and a basic first aid kit.
Agreed 💯
And a fire extinguisher

This channel should have 1 million subscribers. Good work DirtNation!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Great info! Ratcheting straps are great to have in a beginner's kit.
Yup that’s something I forgot for sure 👍🏻
Hey Dustin, great video but you forgot to mention medical supplies; medical supplies are extremely important; recently i added a Defibrillator to my recovery gear.
You are absolutely right…I keep a first aid in The truck but somehow that slipped my mind
You always forget the weed! 😅 I've learned, you can really never have enough!
If you bring the weed, YOU must bring the munchies!!!
@@Tunaslayer1 💯 % Absofuckinlutely! That's "Overlanding" 😆
😂😂😂
Weed is what you need when everything else fails.
A shovel and a portable air compressor. If you get stuck, dig out, air out. Lately I have been carrying one of those Noko batterey jumpers.
Agreed 👍🏻
The live by the zip tie die by the zip tie line was amazing 😂
😂😂😂 sounds like a future sticker
Zip ties and duct tape! No truer words.
Water, toilet paper (never know when the taco bell gonna hit),and in the tools stuff for wiring(cutters, splicers, connectors, clean wire, fuses).
Good points 🚀

Mine is water. A weld is good, but water is cheaper. 🙂 Great Video! I like the new series! I'll see you on the trail!
Yeah I definitely forgot to add water I guess that’s a given 😂 thanks for watching

I have an 04 Tundra...always metric, I just got a GFC camper. Mfr'd in Montana = SAE.
Thanks, great advice. Keep up the good work.
Killing it Dustin !!! 🙏👏💯

First thing (pun intended) is a First Aid kit! And some knowledge of how to use it.
Yeah first aid I definitely forgot to add that 🙏🏻
