I actually ordered an HD Big Eagle and also an HD classic winged both from Classic Shields. Cost ALOT of money and now it just a waiting game ... I hate waiting but hopefully its all worth the wait! I'm happy that ORM is replacing the belt for you, that's actually great business!
Do you know the difference between a SD and HD belt? The difference is a SD belt is etched face up and a HD belt is etched face down. Etching them face down is ideal because all the material coming off the plates can fall away easily leaving behind a perfectly clear etching. Most belt makers etch face up(SD) because it allows them to use a cheaper, more shallow etching tub(Most likely home made). The problem with this is as the acid washes over the plates while the plates are tilted back and fourth, the lands and grooves created catch the debris coming off the plates and remains instead of washing away like it does when they are etched face down. The debris just "sloshes" back and fourth on the plates. This is why you get that waviness and unclear text on SD belts. This is why HD belts are more expensive, better quality requires more expensive equipment to produce.
You would expect a checklist is used before an item is shipped. Top of that should be ‘does it fasten correctly?’. Question. Why didn’t you mention the side plate in your initial review and only after?

What did those belts cost you?
I ask for a quote 3 months ago for a CS HD Big Eagle and he told me $1,450. SD must be like half. ORM is kind of the same too.

Hope you said it to ORM about the broken screw on the side plate and the snaps that don't line up and got a replacement belt

Facebook belt groups man. You'll find plenty of options to purchase belts. Start with joining the "Brothers of the belt" group and take it from there.
Most of these belts from the middle east do not snap properly.
